My bet is Rs 60; as there were 3 order nos. from the exchange.

NSE does not count order modifications. Though I recall a circular aimed at HFT saying that more than 2000 (?) order cancellations, or 5000 (?) modifications per day would incur an additional charge.

Hi Zerodha,

I have small query, Say i bought 40 lot of Nifty Option, and put on the sell by then the 26 get executed, rest still waiting for execution. Now, i bought more say 28 lot and modify the earlier open selll position for 42 (14 prev and 28 new). after this sell is completed what would be my brokerage

Rs60 (3 trades) or 80 ( if you consider selling as two trade)?
We charge you based on executed order numbers and not trade numbers..The interesting bit of order numbers on the exchange is that even if you modify an order the order number doesn't change..

So what it means is, if you put an order for 40 lots and 26 got executed. and now the remaining 14 you modify, the order number doesn't change and hence you are not charged anything extra..

So it would be Rs 60 and not Rs 80

Hi zerodha.. Am new to trading.. Just got few questions that may sound silly but i want to get it cleared out here...
1) I have opened demat with IL&FS... If am taking delivery of the stocks or doing BTST, then the brokerage is just 20+20 or 20+20+pay out charges in the dp..??
2) For futures and options, the brokerage is as per the brokerage calculator in the site both for intraday and carry over..??
3) I have limited knowledge abt margin.. How much margin do u offer for intraday and delivery..?? And do u provide margin for trading in f&o too..??
4) Suppose I have bought few stocks for intraday and then decide to take delivery, how should i do it..??
Please help..

@ Zerodha
I am monitoring Zerodha trader terminal for last 2-3 days.
I found if Zerodha trader gets freeze, shows msg " disconnected .."
After sometime, when it gets connected, it plays all quotes on terminal like fast forward of any DVD movie or old VCD player. Why this happens?
Will have someone check it for you and give a reason

1. If you do intraday or BTST, no need of demat and hence no DP charges.. DP charges applicable only after taking delivery..

2. Yes same for intraday and overnight for f&o

3. For equity: Intraday 3 to 10 times based on which stock.. For delivery no margin
For futures: intraday 40% of overnight futures margin requirement... similarly for writing options...

4. You can convert from MIS to CNC by going to trade book and converting position...

So we can trade BTST without DP a/c with you?.....So when you convert it into delevery if we trade it as CNC without DP a/c with you....?

Zerodha,
Is presentation of Ztrader Equities with exchange successful ?

I know , you are more eager than me for it's launch.Still can you give a conservative date for it to be operational ?
