Market was very dull today I too had a trade with negligible profit with two min lots of BNF only

EOD Summary

I resumed trading after my last modification to trading strategy. It was a good day. Did 2 trades today and for another trade my order did not get executed.

Trades

1. Bought NF @ 5922, Sold at 5938. Gain of 16 points.
2. 2nd buy was at 5933, Order did not get executed, . (It went for another 20+ points)
3. Bought NF at 5942, Sold at 5949.35. Gain of 7.35 points

Net gain for the day = +21.07 points (After brokerage)

Good trades Taiki, are you using any method to filter sideways market? I always get stuck with them and they play ping pong with my trades

Here is the Nifty FUT 5 min chart, and my trades are marked there. Missed a very good entry as order did not get filled and could not pick another trade which now i am seeing on the chart. Need to take care of this in future.

Yes bro, stop loss are small, targets are sometime fixed target and sometimes they are based on TSL, depending on the market reading.

EOD Summary

Not a good day, because failed to execute my plans perfectly. Did 5 trades today, 2 in profit and 3 in loss. but due to bad execution and planning got whipsawed in the narrow range after missing the opportunity of shorting in opening hour.

I clearly overlooked my trade setup and bad execution attributed to this. Net loss for the day is -11 points. (Including the brokerage)

After knowing this, i forced myself to stay away, and missed the closing hours rally. But I am not sad for missing this, but sad for violating my plans.

Got this lesson today

"Knowing the right things to do is not enough. One should know the right way to do this as well. "

Hi Tlahuicole,

I keep some pre-defined trade setup areas based on my expectation for the market, and try to pick the trade once price enters into my setup region. But sometime I violate my rules and create a mess. Like today, i tried to pick every candles in the range and got whipsawed.
