he has been facing issues of professional exhaustion and wants to devote more time to other pursuits of personal interest.

Commenting on the transition, Mukherjee said, “I have had a rewarding and enriching 15-year stint with Network 18, but of late the responsibility of running the channel had become repetitive and I had a difficult time motivating myself to continue. At this stage of my life, I need to devote more of my time to other personal passions and interests. CNBC-TV18 has a very talented team in place which will ensure that the channel’s high standards are maintained in the future. I wish the new editorial leadership team the very best and will try, in my limited way, to contribute to its success.
Dear Soft Trader,

Udayan Stepping down & Dark side of corporate world ???
Can you pls elaborate more.

TIA.
I think he meant to point this out. By the way my initial thought was continuing in IT field as long as things going smooth and learn trading along with that. But in two months things became worse because as an good IT employee it was obvious from my boss and even from company to expect more from me, and i had very little interest in doing that. And it became difficult to keep a balance between my interest and profession. And finally I made this decision to make my interest my profession. :)

Yes, Taiki is right. I meant to point out those lines I underlined earlier. In the corporate world, Employers thinks the employees as slaves. There is so much work pressure. It's a nightmare.

They pay you 4 times your worth and extract work equal to 10 people.

Its a win win for all.

I wonder if people would be willing to take a 75 % pay cut for reduction of work load of 75 %

Its a fact. You dont complain because you are paid 4 times your worth. They get to slog you like a dog and make sure they end up saving salaries for 6 people, and also, they now have an employee who KNOWS he is being overpaid but cant leave.... as most other companies may not hire him at THAT price point.

Of course there are always those who are paid worth 4 people and deliver worth 20 people, and they are always poached by other companies, at double pay, and they still get a worker that is paid for 8 workers, but delivers worth 20 people.

And I doubt the person being poached is going to complain :)

EOD Summary

A bad day. Did 6 trades, 4 in profit and 2 in loss. But missed the big downfall from 5980 level. I was in short trade but with a fixed target and got out with only 7 points in hand. And then the crash happened :(

While analysing the post trade chart I am looking at the 3 failure attempts of NF to break 5990-5995. If I would have noticed this at the time of trading then may be i would have thought of being in the short trade. Missed the downfall and the successive recovery to 5970 level too. :annoyed:

Net gain for the day = +23 points (brokerage is yet to be cut)

A bad day, because, failed to execute my process and plans effectively. Now with my new system, i am looking to be more process oriented rather than looking for points made in every trade. And everyday, i am missing at this points in one or two trades..

May be with practising the system and with experience I will be more comfortable in this. :|
