EOD Summary

Not a good day, because failed to execute my plans perfectly. Did 5 trades today, 2 in profit and 3 in loss. but due to bad execution and planning got whipsawed in the narrow range after missing the opportunity of shorting in opening hour.

I clearly overlooked my trade setup and bad execution attributed to this. Net loss for the day is -11 points. (Including the brokerage)

After knowing this, i forced myself to stay away, and missed the closing hours rally. But I am not sad for missing this, but sad for violating my plans. :(

Got this lesson today

"Knowing the right things to do is not enough. One should know the right way to do this as well. "

EOD Summary

A normal day, did 3 trades, 2 went in to profit, and one was in break-even. Overall got 16 points. but missed the big move from 6010 to 6030. Else profit could have been more. Mistake was wrong exit. Need to take care of this tomorrow.

Net gain for the day = +16.8 points (Brokerage is to be cut)

EOD Summary

A bad day, For some reason i held a negative bias and was playing short side, Even after the uptrend was confirmed i could not give up this bias. My mistake is 'Instead of following price movement, i just held on to my notion, which was ofcourse counter trade for today".

After few bad trade I decided to stay away from market. Did 4 trades. And net loss for the day = -14 points (including brokerage)

When I analysed my trade setups after market hours and replayed the traded time zone I found how stupidly I had acted today. :annoyed::annoyed:

Anyway, hoping for a better tomorrow .

Udayan Mukherjee steps down; Shereen Bhan is new head of CNBC TV-18

Udayan Mukherjee, Managing Editor, CNBC-TV18, has decided to step down from his full-time role after 15 years with the group. However, he will continue his exclusive association with the group, albeit in a contributory and consulting role, through a mix of events, shows and appearances, even as he relinquishes his daily responsibilities. Shereen Bhan, Executive Editor, CNBC-TV18, will take over responsibility of the day to day running of the channel as the new Managing Editor from September 1, 2013.

The reasons for Mukherjee stepping down, according to a press statement, are entirely personal as he has been facing issues of professional exhaustion and wants to devote more time to other pursuits of personal interest.

Raghav Bahl, Founder & Editor, Network18, said, “Udayan has contributed to the emergence of CNBC-TV18 as a benchmark in business news since its formative years. He has ably led the team to many successes and we wish him the very best in his new avatar at CNBC-TV18. Shereen has all the skills and experience to take this mantle forward and we look forward to her leadership.

B Sai Kumar, Group CEO, Network18, said, “Udayan has been instrumental in making CNBC-TV18 the success it is today. We thank him for his invaluable contribution and look forward to his new role with us. In Shereen we entrust the task of leading CNBC-TV18 onto new levels of growth and leadership.

Commenting on the transition, Mukherjee said, “I have had a rewarding and enriching 15-year stint with Network 18, but of late the responsibility of running the channel had become repetitive and I had a difficult time motivating myself to continue. At this stage of my life, I need to devote more of my time to other personal passions and interests. CNBC-TV18 has a very talented team in place which will ensure that the channel’s high standards are maintained in the future. I wish the new editorial leadership team the very best and will try, in my limited way, to contribute to its success.

The reason I posted this in this thread is that it is somewhat related to Taiki. It tells us about the dark side of the corporate world.

Dear Soft Trader,

Udayan Stepping down & Dark side of corporate world ???
Can you pls elaborate more.

TIA.

I think he meant to point this out. By the way my initial thought was continuing in IT field as long as things going smooth and learn trading along with that. But in two months things became worse because as an good IT employee it was obvious from my boss and even from company to expect more from me, and i had very little interest in doing that. And it became difficult to keep a balance between my interest and profession. And finally I made this decision to make my interest my profession. :)
