Be aware of trading costs when using the stock market.
I agree trading costs are high (STT and others) . With Zerodha some advantages are there. But need to buy in bulk which can further lead to more loss if trades don't go in correct direction.

Tried to use 3 Charts and got confused took some loss.

Lesson for the day -

  1. System should be "KISS".More than 3 indicators are not required.
  2. Narrow down the scripts to 1-2 for a day.Playing in diff. scripts can confuse at market hrs.

Action Plan for next few days - Need to finalize/cutdown/decrease the indicators.Currently 5-6 were used.

Following things are planned
Signal Chart - 1 Minutes
Short Term - 3-15 Minutes
Long Trend - 60/? Minutes
Indicators(Max) - 2

Total of 4 trades today ,

One in loss , 2 went in making up the loss and last one gave profit ..
Overall good day for me - 300/- profit after B&T
Continous reading/updating knowledge and taking help from seniors helps a lot

Planning to Buy LG 22" lcd as another screen is needed as have to switch between chart and NOW.

Later on would buy UPS - Will wait for some time..Monitor on list..

GoodDay today,

Earned 830/- in options.Daily chart had given buy for TataMotors and Nifty had moved up on Friday. So was bullish on Nifty today.Bought CE and used tight trail stop and earned some bucks.

Today was ready with S/R levels on daily basis. Before trading have plans to be ready with data

  1. Fib Levels
  2. Support/Resistance and Pivot points on daily basis
  3. Stocks to be traded decided in advanced , but am flexible with any good stock presented during mrkt hrs

Can we have two screens on a single PC,showing different things, in this case, NOW on one screen and charts on another screen ?
If yes, then how? What will be the setup?

Yes we can.As planned I have added one dual display card in my PC.
Two monitors are connected to one CPU.
  • LG 22" LCD to display charts.
  • Samsung 17" CRT for "NOW".

  1. Install display driver on PC and open up the control panel of the card.e.g
  2. Nvidia Control Panel.
  3. Choose the following type of setting - Configured independantly from each other (DualView)
  4. Select good monitor and keep it as Primary.
  5. Open charting software , it will get diaply on primary monitor.
  6. Open "NOW" and drag it to another monitor...That's it..

Have started today with above setup. No need to minimize screen etc..
While buying display card buy one of the best with good ram on it.

Before buying double check if u'r PC has PCI-Express slot or AGP slot.
