hi ab,
not an expert in network but all i can say the problem lies not with the worksheet. the query fails to get executed, and thats why the error message.

many a times i also face the same problem. although i am connected (i too have a broadband connection) the worksheet fails to connect. web pages also fails to display. maybe some issues with bsnl out here. anyway a re-login (to the net) solves the problem.

Hi JDM..

Great job man.. Not too many people would take so much time out to help others.

I tried using the intraday downloader today, but it always gives the error "Could not detect net connection".. Any ideas as to why this would happen?? (I am always connected through broadband..)

check your firewall for exclusion, most probably you have blocked excel.exe from the network...
