Well , It certainly does not look like good times for trading. But it is certainly good time for investing.So people mainly concerned with trading have nothing much to share as yet.

Thnx PK sir but do u really think that people are not trading now I really dont think so bcoz avgly nifty moving 100 points or so in a day that can b a good earning speed if someone know exactly when to enter n exit but i know this too that IF .its the main problem

With Saint having done the major help in improving the basics of most of the people who want to make their own decisions in entering and exiting the trades, there is little left for the individuals to decide, such as :

Using the high volatility of the markets, that one can keep day-trading and ensure that the trades are squared off before the close.

Or, Take positions based on the EOD details, but using the guidelines given by Saint, and be a positional trader.

Or, do BOTH

There are umpteen persons giving point to point details which is useful to those, who do NOT wish to take the pains of going through Saint's method and guidelines, but use the shortcut by following the mini-gurus.

The thiid group is more dangerous and consists of self-styled experts, who first advise ... say, on P/E and THEN ask, what is an EPS. Such people are usually the loosers and their advises are typically of "whistling for courage" for themselves.

This is my observation, an I could be wrong. No offence to anyone

Well first, please don't call me sir. And I think though it may not be very good time for trading people are trading. The reason is when market is moving up or down trade for uninformed is easy, take a call and chances of winning is high. In sideways movement only those who are knowledgeable and systemic trader would be able to take a call. Others just loose their shirts. One should trade only " if someone know exactly when to enter n exit" as aptly put by you.

Now why it is good time for investing . Because I believe that many stocks are adequately priced and likely to give good returns in two to three years time. But like trading, here also one can not be sure as movement is sideways.So informed decision with a system is the key to trading or investing.

Noise Maker.... Hmmmmm....!

The fact that Ashisa da declared to withdraw from the Forum, effective 4th Nov 08.... and yet he could NOT withdraw totally. Time permitting, we find his comments here and there, indicating that he still reads.. And Comments Too.

Beats me, how a person like Czar could totally withdraw, and that to, for no reason one could think of.

Anyway, you may keep the honour, in his absence

And when the US markets rush up in top gear with full speed and the Asian markets try to follow, we sit home doing nothing.

Takdeer Ka Fasana...... now it is becoming a habit.... when all the world markets shoot up, we take a holiday.

However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that only school-colleges have a holiday today. Almost all the companies are working. No issues.

And for the working of the Stock Exchanges, I have never understood the need for a holiday. In fact they could run 24 Hrs for 365 days

Whosoever wants to Trade, trades. Whosoever wants to take a holiday ignores the markets. Daily settlements could be made by online linking of bank accounts to trading account.

But such things are NOT even be possible in dreams.... then what am I talking about?

With the absence of Ashish Da, Czar and Sunil, the leading threads appear like baloons having lost their air. The average turnover has drastically fallen.
