pretty good start on a first day i guess.

the irony is, i did not rely on any technicals today. went with the flow of the market and market speculations. did not set stop loss as i am at the system all the day. Moreover, there was a chance to book higher profits, but didn't book them because i thought i should wait till the end of the day.

have to rectify my mistakes and should strictly use technicals to trade from monday. Shower me with suggestions and i will follow them for sure.

My paper trading has actually paid off in exiting and entering the positions. glad to realize that.

NOW is the time to be cautious. its is not a case of beginner's luck that every1 makes me in the beginning. a beginner is cautious and careful without any haughtiness.

thanks for the caution iyerboi .. my main question is.. how do i select scrips to trade on a particular day.. ?? if i can solve this, my problem is half solved.

As my software hung during market hours, i called them twice to know whats going on with my account and squared off one position through them.

They charged me late for that and now the

ledger balance @ 10434.99

If it only was your software, then try to find some links and keep them as speed dials. I am not sure if you know that add on from Firefox Browser. You also can keep them in the bookmark store.

Try to find links which give you the information you need to bridge the time in between the fail of your software. This fail out times on the other hand should be only of short time as you do directional trades. Other wise you will earlier or later lose all your little money. Keep that in mind!!

If you have such hangs over and over, change the Internet provider or change your trading strategy. If you can't change the Internet provider or do not know other strategies, then stop trading with real money. I mean, it is your money and you have to know what you do with it.

can you elaborate on what you meant by finding some other links.. sorry.. am a newbie here.. so cant stop myself from asking questions.

Moreover, I have some doubts regarding my trading ledger provided by zerodha .. i can put it up here..( just 3 rows only).. can anybody explain how i am being charged ??

Zerodha is charging maximum Rs. 20 per trade. If you have done two trades (first trade for Buy and second trade for Sell) then your zerodha brokerage charge should be Rs.40. (if your trading amount was lower then your brokerage will be lower than Rs.40 according to their calculator)

I have done five trades..

sell 50

buy 200

sell 200

buy 50

buy 50

sell 50 (on phone)


i dont have problem with brokerage. In the NOW software, when i viewed my daily report, it showed that i realized a margin of +497.50 .

But, in the back office login, it showed that my profit is 457.9 (shown in previous post) . on that, again the brokerage and call charges have been deducted and i finally ended up with 434.99.


Apart from that, Can you tell me any free charting softwares ?? I need intraday charts to see during trading.. but in the NOW software, i right click on the scrip and click on intraday chart, the software is hanging. It says NOW is not responding and i have to restart it.
