Continuation of "Trader Jokes" post:

And the Saudis with there "Wahhabism" are the ideology supporters of IS. Not only they support them with there ideology of "Wahhabism". Also huge money from private persons and secret services from Muslim countries are given to IS. But the west stills goes to bed with the Saudis night by night. The western governments know this and are very clear about this in secret, as oil is the topic.

Beside this there are geopolitical and regional interest from different political and religions and powerful groups. Players like the US, Iran, Irak, Turkey, Russia, China and the Jewish who have all there own interest in the place and play there own games.

It is all about power, sources and money and not atoll in any way about human beings or even religion. All this bla bla about human rights and what so ever is pure laying to normal man out in the world.

Sad story and lets see how stupid politicians destroy more and more countries. The destroy them in the interest of the powerful and want to control every thing in back people.

Even the act from Angela Merkel was an act of want to dictate whole Europe how to behave about what she think is the only right way to do. But she not even can give any guarantee to those who come to Germany in any way, as the masses she invited are not to manage for Germany and the rest of Europe does not accept her dictate she wanted to demand them.

Vertigo,

When Modi was elected as PM, I was hopeful and positive, and glad that BJP booted out the congress. I may have posted how reverently Modi spoke on his first speech in parliment (where he admonished Advani, and choked on his words while giving his speech) Also, loved the fact, that he respectfully kissed the steps of the parlement before entering there.... But these are symoblisms and besides emotional appeal to the senses does very little. Once in power, BJP has become arrogant, and taken much for granted. Principals get sacrificed in quest for power. And let's not think that it is not true. Else, Yeddurappa would not have been invited with open arms into BJP fold. Or Raje, Shivraj Singh Chouhan or Sushma Swaraj been defended and retained their position of power. So my question is on matters of morality, how is Modi different from Congress? May be not as bad, but given time, there will be skeletons exposed. Let's see what happens then....

Regards freedom of speech being different for different people, I disagree. Who is to decided what criticism the aam janta can make and not a celebrity? Freedom of speech is a virtue, and as I said, it is the moral responsibility for the people who are in eminent position to voice it.

Re. "If u tell a big enough lie And tell it frequently enough it will be believed" Well, what Amir Khan spoke was his opinion. Where does lie come into it? He can be right or wrong. Rebut what he said with your arguments, but why does this needs to to be made as something personal?

It may not be related, but culturally, we are a society that is quite reverential to people in positions, elders etc (alike Japan, Korea). Many times, we will go along with with what (practices) are wrong, because we are brought up that way and the behaviour is ingrained in our psyche. We bow before authority. We idolize 'hero's'. So we find it wrong, when someone expresses an opinion as 'insulting' Why not respond with logic and arguments like adults rather than be swayed by emotions? Responding the way people are, it is really much a do about nothing.

To your other comment, we can shut away from TV, media, papers etc. Does that mean Dadri incident, where a man lost his life due to hate mongering be ignored? What was telling is why Sangeet Som allowed to make provocative speeches on a sensitive matter, where an innocent man lost his life, while the BJP top brass keep silent? Or a similar incident, which was almost repeated in Assam be brushed aside? How can hate mongers be allowed to speak for the BJP? Why does Modi not pull these perpetual trouble makers? Now if you want to know what is happening, ignore all the opinions you want. But what do you think about this idiocy that embarasses us all?

In Jaipur, two artist were detained by the police for three hours and asked to remove their art installation. Their crime? A plastic cow, tied to a balloon which was made to propagate the message that cows, were consuming plastic which is carelessly discarded the people and it was sickening them. The net result? The CM Raje said she was 'saddened' the Police officer transferred and the police commissioner apologized to the artist. But the damage had been done - basis, some people finding the art 'intolerable' as it had a plastic cow hanging from a rope?

Again, linking martyr's kids who want to serve the nation has got nothing to do with the subject. Serving the country is commendable, but there are very many clultured, sanskari, patriotic Indians who leave the country. Just see a fraction of them in Modi's rallies in London, Silicon Valley, Dubai, Singapore etc. Nothing wrong in that too.

And finally, what would you think of someone, say Pakistani celebrity - e.g Imran Khan criticizing persecution of minorities, or honor killings in his country? If he raised these issues, would he be doing the right thing, or you feel that he should keep quite as it will damage the opinion of country? Just saying....

My 2C.

Agree.

@DSM, IMHO n all due respect you are seeing everything with a biased view and not ready to consider alternate perspectives. Isnt it a possibility that ur previous fear about modi are clouding ur judgement ??

Freedom of speech comes with great responsibility esp for public figures like actors who have mass following but sadly ppl want to enjoy their freedom without being responsible for the consequences that comes with it.

"If u tell a big enough lie And tell it frequently enough it will be believed" .. these ppl hv vitiated the atmosphere of our nation. Tellme what is the result of all this been? Was minority community feeling safer before all this or feeling safer now? Has hatred among the different communities fallen or risen?

And again.. please dont believe me or anyone else but do one thing ..please shut down tv, papers, social sites for few days n share your experience abt intolerance but if nothing such comes then please realize d difference between whats reality n wats projected for personal gains.

We have a martyr whoz kids also wants to serve the nation and bcoz of heroes like these that our nation is still standing. On the other hand we have aamir khan thinking of leaving country bcoz atmosphere isnt safe, maybe that was just a non serious comment from his wife but doesnt he have brain to think abt what affect his statements wud have? Wat example he is setting? If there is some difficulty in our country u run away n settle in some odr ?? Waah re deshbhakt.. im sure he would never do dat n dats why saying why such stupid statement??

And lastly.. have said it before also.. ppl say India is dirty, india is corrupt, india is intolerant.. thats unacceptable.. there r corrupt ppl, intolerant ppl but plz dont bring "INDIA" whole nation into it, dont know abt ppl who say such things.. maybe they are corrupt, intolerant, their family, frnds must also be like that as they are so sure of the country but i am for sure not like that so plz dont use INDIA if u cant respect it.

Vertigo,

Not interested in proving anything. Just speaking my mind. Have stated facts and principals from which arguments follow. I do not have to gain anything by saying more that what I have stated. Wrote, as I had time, and seeing how popular opinion was on one side, just posted my bit. Maybe it will just balance out the debate a bit.... And for me it is not surprising (as I said before how reverential we are as a society) that the arguments here follow crow psychology.

As we have debated before, if you are interested, suggest read up some philosophy of Thomas Jefferson, John Locke, John Stuart Mill, Karl Popper and David Hume (for a start) It will lead you to a road you have never been.

TC and enjoy your holiday.
