Day Trading Stocks & Futures

re: Day trading Nifty & Banknifty Futures

any job is replaceable... and I have never met... any salaried employee... enjoying his job!

For a talented person... the demand is always going to be extraordinary...

Every employer knows how hard its to recruit a top performer and how hard its keep him in the job...

for run of the mill... copy pasta keyboard warriors... yup... all their services are replaceable with 200 lines of python code running in some cloud server or even a high school kids are going to replace them in future!

So the solution is : don't turn into commodity, preserve your competitive edge.
If you don't love your job , you are not going to be good at it and hence you will be unhappy. There are people who are happy with their jobs. I WAS one of them.

About talent, the talent of this country has left and gone to better places. Seeing the kind of people & their quality of work in IT , i can boldly claim that there is no or very little talent in India.

Maintaining competitive edge, but only if you are in the product company. In IT Services company everyone including top management is replaceable. Its only a matter of time.

Things were rosy 10 yrs back when IT was booming , now not anymore. IT service companies are becoming like Kirana shops , anyone with a small client base can open on these days, if you don't believe me come to bangalore and go to areas like indiranagar, jayanagar, kormangala and whitefield and you will see so many glorified IT kirana shops...

The only good thing about this industry is that provides some work to many of the millions of so called engineers in this country.

Choosing to work in IT is your call, but be ready to pay for it as well and i guarantee you that you will pay more than you earn.;)

Quite true. i was a half baked CS engineer from a useless mumbai univ college who only knew some basic coding and some half remembered theory without ever doing anything significant. Yet i got a nice paying job in IT.

The job ofcourse become a chore after few years as you keep doing the same useless braindead sweatshop stuff again and again. Many or most people in IT want to move away from coding and move to managing. i never understood why they joined IT in the first place. I guess money and 'prestige' is the biggest motivation. Most of everything else was nice btw, you get free trips abroad with hopefully free weekends to roam around :).

I hope i did the right thing leaving it all. Now i want to make money trading and relearn CS as a hobby.
Coursera is wonderful, my supposedly good college was nothing in comparison :(. Barring the topmost colleges like IITs, Indian education system is pretty messed up.

IT jobs have a honeymoon-phase... after that it looks fat old lady... damn I have to wake up to you every freaking day... noooooooooooooooo :D

I have a feeling even traditional jobs are also transforming.

Small entrepreneurial globally distributed teams with proper credentials and CV will slowly replace 'respectable software engineer' jobs!
and army of average joes will be competing for paper-shuffling-low-value jobs... with same kinda resume.

Anyways... IT field has done tremendous good to millions of people to taste the upper middle class life with flight travels, cars, flat screen TVs, onsite opportunities and global exposure.

The people leaving IT are in second stage... vast majority people are getting just bootstrapped into the first stage. So once 'glorious first stage' is now ... common boring every one is in IT crap now-a-days kinda thing...

Its good for people who are moving from near poverty to stage one...
and its good for people who are moving from stage one to stage two !

-------
personally am always against salaried job and biased towards investment & business... unless you are working on world changing awesome project in Google or somewhere similar!

Just in... maybe more downside expected.
Not necessary

Came across some nice lines:
A normal trader usually always asks a simple question before entering the market. :

Will this trade win?

This is the wrong question!

A better question is, “Is this a good reward:risk opportunity?”
Yes because a normal trader trades with poor Reward/Risk and hence the trade success rate is very important to him. But if one trades with high Reward to risk, the success rate or hit rate looses its excess importance.

Amazon is a listed company in the US, and a big name in e-commerce globally.

I cannot suggest how you would be able to/ should use the news.
