Dear karthik,

Thanks. still rem. me . Anyway i sold it and reduce the loss . Thanks again for the up date .

The new about bonus is false. There is only a Rights issue. You must have received the intimation for the issue already. The rise in the share price is due to the fundamentals....:)

Thanks Karthik. Quite useful in understanding GDR thing somewhat.
Seeing some nice rise in Gateway Distri. prices from last 2 days. :)

Could you recommend any website? I am not looking for very advance kind of thing just normal upto date line/bar chart with around 1-2 years of data.

Really appreciate all your help.

Thanks Regards,

Have you tried the www.wealth-lab.com site. This has excellant charting facility including a number of indicators. Also you can build your own trading system and test it. It is free. Just register and start using it. Data is available for most indian shares and it uses yahoo data. So you have to use the yahoo codes... Just try it and see

All the best

Karthik

p.s. I do not have any relation to the site...just a user... :)

Ashish.
Ashish,

Very correct , My Friend... But for the bad day today for the market it would have broken out of the triangle. Great going Ashish...Keep it up...

Thanks a ton Karthik for your opinion on M&M and TISCO.

I would appreciate if you could give your judgement on following scrips and wether they are undervalued and would appreciate in next one year :

1. TATA TELESERVICES
2. AVAYA GLOBLE
3. VSNL
4. TATA CHEMICALS

Best regards
Dear harmads

Here is the second Installment of my reply....:)

My view on TATA Teleservices is follows

My view: AVOID

Not encouraging. Just the main points ….

The company which is listed on the BSE is Tata Teleservice (Maharastra) limited which was previous known as Huges Telecom. Tata bought this company and the name was changed. The Tata teleservice which has a national presence is a private unlisted company. All the expansion, NLD license we are hearing is about the Tata Teleservices.
Recently there was some rumors that TTSL(maharastra) is to be merged into the TTSL main company which the company has refuted.

In the quarter ending April 05 (That is last one available in their web site !!) the revenue was 239 Cr, a 23% growth compared to the same period the previous year. Also the losses were 129 Cr. Compared o 93 Cr. in the corresponding quarter the previous year. The service covers 135 towns as of today and the company plans to extend it to 160 towns by March 2006.

The scope for expansion for the main Tata teleservices (private one) is very good but for the listed company which holds license for Maharastra and Goa only the scope of great expansion is limited. Also the current debt is huge, about 1700 Cr.

The company has announced the plans to issue rights.

Hope this helps.

regards

Karthik

Hi everyone (specially all senior members)

It is with a deep sense of anguish that I have to say : despite three pleas for
informed advice on Mysore Cements (as to why it losing money even in such prosperous times) none is able to enlighten/guide me. Karthik .. you did offer explanation (thanks for that) , but I'm afraid you elaborated mainly on the 'symptoms', and not so much on the underlying 'disease' troubling this terminally sick (?) cement firm.

Surely someone out there (amongst the hundreds of you) is knowledgable enough about the economics of the cement industry, to be able to throw some light on the 'riddle' I have posed .

SO please, please, take a few minutes and explain to me. That alone will explain why the stock is inching down even in such times.

Thanks in advance !
AGILENT

Well ... Life is full of unfulfilled dreams and unanswered questions, isnt it ?
No one bothered to respond to my repeated pleas on the 'riddle' surrounding Mysore Cements .

As if to appease me and provide my DOUBTS some RELIEF, Mysore Cements scrip has woken up from its deep slumber and starting rallying today (up 10% to 27.3 as I write). So maybe the turnaround (on the back of rising cement prices) is indeed beginning to take root.

Now really do I understand whay this thread has been titled DOUBT RELIEF !!

Thanks , Karthik, for your earlier analysis ( and mind you.... as a tip .... if the turnaround is indeed IN place, this scrip can yield 50 % gain in 6 mths ... after all, it is still well below its highs of 2005)

That should read Why , not Whay... sorry

PS Lata... if you are reading this ... see my comments ( last post) on on your old query on 'The two sides of trading' , and tell me if that makes u wiser in any way.

Cheers !
