EOD Download/ Convert from NSE and BSE

Hi

This is to say Thanks to all who contributed to development of EODDlc by giving feedback, report problems and new requirements.

Many would have become frustrated when new version was not forthcoming.

few names who reported bugs
rajaneesh (limit on portfolio stocks), jayamsuccess(FNO problem), chintan, abcdgetright(BE/EQ problem),rajuwaste(BE EQ problem of nse EOD), raju,saji oommen( too many to list),

and many others who have posted to this thread.

Special thanks to RSI (Mr R.S. Iyer) who guided me during development od EOD downloads for Commidities data from NCDEX and MCX

Special thanks to kkseal for telling me to do the same for IndiaVIX.

Special thanks to Chintan who first reported that MCX and NCDEX historical downloads are working. I was not very sure if it worked on other computers.

Thanks to all, who have ever visited /posted to this thread or used EODDlc. This is software developed for members of this forum.

I will update rediff briefcase once I get enough feedback. meanwhile please download it from link provided in previous post.

ps. it works transparently across proxy without requiring user intervention unless websites itself is blocked.

I must say u are blessed with gr8t mind and big heart who had taken pain to develop such a useful utility.....

one suggestion now ,it would have been better if both delivery volume and percentage of delivery are given as options while converting.presently you included only delivery volume while converting from nse file. I hope you will look into the matter.

thanks for kind words.

if you use database for conversion then delivery percentage will also come.But for files I included then dropped as someone said that it will be calculated by TA software so including it will be superfluous.

But as you say , it may be needed at least by some. So I will add when I issue update.

It was satya's Data extractor which prompted me to make EODDlc. Then Murthymsr Garu helped me a lot in first release of this utility.So credit goes to him in a very very large measure.

Delays are somewhat inevitable as I am quite busy these days so difficult to find enough time , mainly for testing and bug tracking. that was the reason I included error.log file so that I could track errors reported by users easily.

Such feedbacks are what brought this software to current level. Without feedback , howsoever small , this would not be useful at all. So I give credit to members of this forum for interacting with me and patiently waiting for EODDlc.

When you said it works across MCX and NCDEX I was very happy that independent confirmation has come. So your credit is there as always for many other things and also same is due to others.

Thank you for your new version.Today I have installed your new version.when I convert the eod data of nse equites I can see the process completed message but I could not find any symbolwise Txt files in converted folder(I used default option for source and destination file folders)
I am attching the error file here.
pls kindly tell me the solution for this problem

Thanks for pointing out. Error log file was really helpful. It was an issue with sql statement.

patched up and recompiled exe is uploaded. New patched version is 2.0.4 . Please download it from

Just unzip and overwrite old EODDownloadConvert.exe

This is for all users who downloaded original setup file, Please get that patch if you want to use Conversion from database.No need to download full setup again.

New set up file is uploaded to Rediffmail briefcase. It contains updated Core exe rectifying error pointed out by Rajesh.

This does not contain MDAC_TYP.exe due to size restriction. If needed the same can be downloaded from Microsoft website.

Patch is available for those who have downloaded original setup file.

They can just download patch unzip it and overwrite old exe. No other changes.

Excellent Job, i really congragulate on behalf of all to have done this wonderfull job.

U see I am not understanding one thing previously when i download new EOD from Nse and tell the software to convert it used to give me one text file containing all companies data in a single file, now the new version gives me so many files for each and every data, what is the problem with my settings or so.

I use this to get it imported to AMIBROKER, with "Import Wizard"
