EOD Download/ Convert from NSE and BSE

Excellent Job, i really congragulate on behalf of all to have done this wonderfull job.

U see I am not understanding one thing previously when i download new EOD from Nse and tell the software to convert it used to give me one text file containing all companies data in a single file, now the new version gives me so many files for each and every data, what is the problem with my settings or so.

I use this to get it imported to AMIBROKER, with "Import Wizard"

You have to uncheck the checkbox for stockwise files. Then you will not get stock wise file.
If this is not helpful you could attach the screenshot of advanced settings abd give sample files (two at least)

New set up file is uploaded to Rediffmail briefcase. It contains updated Core exe rectifying error pointed out by Rajesh.

This does not contain MDAC_TYP.exe due to size restriction. If needed the same can be downloaded from Microsoft website.

Patch is available for those who have downloaded original setup file.

They can just download patch unzip it and overwrite old exe. No other changes.

Its really nice that the new software is released. i have downloaded the software. I use win xp sp2. i tried to download MDAC_typ from microsoft. Does it need a genuine windows to download. kindly help me with this.

yes. it would require genuineness of window xp.
but with skydrive link you will get mdac_typ ver 2.0 which should work with xp2

i have applied patch .. i have problem in converting section ..for e.g i have downloaded data from 1\1\2008 to 26\5\2008 ..i got then converted ,then downloaded data if 27/5/2008 ..went to convert ..all files were showing that has to be converted i.e from 1/5 till 27/5 ....as those files were converted before [ 1/1 to 26/5] only 27/5 was to be left converted ...when i clicked on convert all files got converted ..twice i am attatching those files,
kindly help whats wrong here..

I am going through code.
if you use checkbox names usedatabase then files will not be deleted in the input folder as eoddlc will be using data from database.
If you use converter without database then files will be removed as and when conversion for that file is over.
By default it is using databse. But the choice you make initially would be default unless you change it.

You can use two different settings by creating named settings for each . But remember files go to same converted folder.Normally it should write first line(erasing old records) and then start appending subsequent lines. I will check that logic.Meanwhile,You can try rebuilding from files or database that will address your problem for today.
Meanwhile I found that BSE conversion from DB is having sql error. I will rectify and post a patch by tomorrow which will include result of your report as well.

The setting is already with No symbolwise files, I have attached the screen shot and also csv file downloaded (I have renamed it as .txt for uploading to traderji), when i say convert I am getting lots of discrete files, if required I can also attach the errorlog file.

is there anything wrong or i am making mistaks

Hi

It is strange that you are not getting Input/Output boxes filled up with fields.That determines the sequence and type of data going in output file.
In absence of that default is to take the file give same output with other parameters.You text file is ok as it is using the basic configuration since no sequence is defined.

Just try to toggle and see if input box gets filled up.
Then select your sequence. Also decide if you want to use database(default) or files.
Once that is selected that will become default.

Check your output sequence in output box if it includes Open interest. If not try including it and rebuild file from db

Hi Pk,
I downloaded your software today.I could not make use of it.First I decided to test your software by downloading data from 01/05/2008 to 28/05/2008 and converted the downloaded data then view the "C:\Program Files\EODDownloadConvert\DATA\NSE\EQUITIES\Converted\ " directory to test the output.I found that the output is not in proper manner.First one is when I view date wise output it is showing the files from 01/11/2007 to 27/05/2008 and when I view stock wise output there is only one entry for the date 02/05/2008.I am wondering why are you continuously posting revised software not even without checking these kind of simple errors.
