Re: Fibotrader import problem

soumya,
I checked again and as u said, the header appears correct. Just to cross check, I didn't include the quote_0 u had provided, but used the installation quote_0 and impoirted the data from the csv and it appears properly. It means there is a compatibility issue between the quote_0 u had provided and csv files. can u help

Dear Fibotrader Users,

I have made a sectorwise classification assigned by Karthik (http://www.traderji.com/61651-post16.html) in Fibotrader.
Download Link : http://rapidshare.de/files/36690695/Main.7z.html

CAUTION :-
Using this 'Main' u will lose all yours own templates, filters, watchlists & drawings.

Thanks,
Soumya
Hi! Soumya,

Have downloaded the file. It's got a ".7z" extension.
Renamed it to ".mdb" and pasted the file in the Data folder
When I run Fibotrader, I get an error message

Also tried renaming the file to ".zip" Says o archives found.

Could you please tell me what I need to do.

Thanks once again for helping us here...

Regards,
Amit

hi Amit,

the 'Main' is compressed by 7z compression s/w. decompress it by winrar. then copy it to the data folder.
get Winrar from http://rapidshare.de/files/29777087/WinRAR_v3.60_Final.rar

thanx,

Hi! Soumya,

Thanks for your reply.

If you refer to Post # 6 at the foll url
http://www.traderji.com/amibroker/8686-amibroker-database-nse-stocks.html

we can get charts of Industry / Sector charts like "Private banks"

With the database that you have provided, can this be done. I have gone through all the folders, but could not find the same.

Hats off to Soumya! for the selfless service that you are providing.

Regards,
Amit
u couldn't chart Industry / Sector in Fibo as Ami does.

thanks,
soumya

I have ‘overwrite’ the copy of Main file and eight (8)EOD files by right clicking the downloaded copy of RAR files and extracting directly to Fibotrader/data as I was not able to unzip.>again unzip, like the way you have explained in your post.Is it ok?
after extracting all 8 parts u will get a single file named Quotes_0.mdb. this file will be copied to the Data folder of Fibotrader. do the same for the Main file.

And another doubt is that, whether I have to download and install the ”update 3.1” from second link which is available at fibotrader.com?
No it is not mandatory but good for the software's health.

don't hesitate to post any queries.

happy trading,
soumya
