Hello Soumya,
First of all, kudos for the introduction and continuous support of Fibotrader on your part.
It is really like a miracle to me as I used to spend nearly 2 hours everyday in updating my excel sheets for various parameters through "cut & paste" from NSE site. Now, Fibotrader does all this in seconds (& minutes) with a few clicks!
I wanted your views on setting up Fibotrader for intraday. Here is the scenario that I have in mind -
1. Create a folder called NSE-Intra.
2. Fill this folder with a number of scrips - say 100 - with same data as in the NSE folder till last EOD trade.
3. Program excel to fetch realtime data through screen scraping for those 100 scrips and automatically save them in the required CSV format at definite intervals - say every 5 minutes.
4. Manually upload such CSV file as EOD file into the NSE-Intra folder.
5. Watch for signals and take a call.
My questions are:
a. Will uploading an EOD file into the NSE-Intra folder also affect the NSE folder? (as the scrips are the same)
b. Will uploading a CSV file at, say 11:00 AM, autmatically overwrite the data previously uploaded at, say 10:45 AM?
b. How good will this logic be? My idea is, instead of getting a signal at EOD, the same signal may be generated at 10:00 AM by considering the data at 10:00 AM as EOD. Of course, the flipside to this is that the final data at EOD for the same scrip which generated a signal at 10:00 AM may not generate a signal at all!
My intention is that, though some manual effort is involved, one can catch signals in the middle of the day rather than waiting for EOD data to take a call on the next day. And if a signal caught at 10:30 AM proves the same as EOD, definitely one could make profits on intraday itself.
Your views on this is highly appreciated.
Once again, many thanks for introducing and supporting Fibotrader.
