General Trading Chat

1. You claim to be trading for 8 years... yet you are scared to be looser in trading and therefore can't quit job. So either you hv learnt nothing in 8 years ....or ur job pays you in crores every month. :D

2. You def don't understand the probability of trading business (again wonder whtz the 8 years of experiece for). The other time of unfavorable gaps u talking about is nothing compared to the time it works. Probability is always higher for gaps to work in favor be it any script .. any market. Thing is one should know how he is trading.

3. Of course they would, I would have.. or any trader would hav minted. 200 point gaps may be can't make enough money for you. But for seasoned traders, 200 points consistently in nifty is all needed to make luxurious living out of trading.
I am not scared of a losing trade....you can always keep the losses under control...but we are in the market to earn consistent money....it is extremely difficult...and only a handful of people in this forum are doing it.....how about you....

As far as what I have learned from the market in 8 years, I have learned enough to be in the market for 8 years.....limit the losses, but not making enough profits to lose my daytime job....

Very nice.. see now you are talking sense ! :thumb:

So from beginning of this conversation, the point I was trying to make is that there will always be some moves in the market that people will miss but that doesn't mean that the world ends there. As a trader one should always look forward because there is always next trade and always a next day. One can learn to take what market gives vs repenting and crying about what got missed.... we don't necessarily need to catch every up and down move to be profitable.

So if you cared to read around lil bit you would know that there are many in TJ who trade full time. Many who have successfully transitioned from corporate jobs into full time trader.... well known are our dear ST Da (he did that 20 years ago so no comparison with him he is veteran and guru for everyone), XRAY25, Tlahuicole and 1 more I know but he hasn't shared publicly so wont take his name. There may be others too.. but I know only these. About me ?? well.. I hv shared this long ago in the other thread (ppl who hv been here for long know this already) dt after 8 years of corporate slavery, I'm among a few ppl in TJ who have been trading full time happily and profitably. I will be completing 1 year of full time trading this coming 17th Jan. :)

So again.. there is nothing I'm trying to prove. .I dnt have any grudge against anybody trading full time or part time or doing any other business. Its personal choice and everyone has their own learning curve...and nothing wrong with it.

But wht I find very weird is when people comment negatively about something without knowing the truth.... or they will get into fights of my method is better than urs etc... or some people infact would just come to show off that I bought here and sold there even though in reality they havn't. I mean why is it dt some ppl live in denial.. dtz something I dont understand. It's ok not to know....nobody knows everything and we learn from each others but why not ask instead of just trying act smart. People (and applies to me too) should understand that there is no shame in asking question. Afterall, this platform is to learn from each others..isn't it.. !! :)

PS : My comments are generalized so don't take all of it onto u. I'm putting this disclaimer coz it has happened in past that even if talked in general, ppl pick up fight :D

Ok, highlighted portion is the main point....If you say you're doing well, I am not going to doubt you......

Your first reply was bordering on the "empty vessels make more noise" kind of thing...now you too are talking sense....:thumb:
