nice to catch ya. how do u c a trend. if it keeps breaking the previous pivot high then uptrend and breaking previous pivot lows downtrend. isnt that also the p2 method if you join all the bars in between and make a single bar. Cant we decide trend this way

2 bars method works great on larger timeframe but I have never used it as a trading system. I always used it for adds in a strong trend during the day. As the trade direction is decided by the trend we are in, 2 bars give add points.

This entry method was born out of necessity. In my day trades, many times I used to catch a morning move and get out once market showed topping signs..then market goes into correction and in the afternoon session starts trending strongly and accelerating in the direction of the trend. This is where I need an entry/add method to capitalise on the strong afternoon move continuing till the end of the day.

Trend determination and interplay of various trends is the base of my trading ...and it is definite....no guesswork in that. But explaining trends will take many posts ...it is a subject for one very big thread...

My last trouble to you for tonight. In this chart. Now in 5 min we are downtrend breaking lows after lows. Lets look at daily chart. If we see this as 3 bars 1 having high 8600 (highest one) the other having low little above 8000(lowest one) As per 2 bar little below 8000 we can go on short with around (8150 taking the next higher green bar) points stop we would be in big downtrend then...?.

I am not too sure whether I understood your question even after reading it multiple times. Between 8600 and 8000 there are 8-9 daily bars....please mark your chart as to show where you want to go short as per 2 bars....

As you read the thread from "Raghavacc", no answer to your question in the thread of him? Just wondering as he has posted on more or less all possible subjects you ask for. http://www.traderji.com/day-trading/54929-my-daytrading-pdf-phase-1-a.html Your screen shoots says: "My daytrading" and I thought it may is the thread of dear Raghavacc you read. If not, it is an other great source for most of your questions on PA trading.

Here the link for the PDF in case you missed it: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31613396/Raghav - My DayTrading.pdf

uploaded short with SL of 50 points looking for more than 100 points if it goes else hits SL. observed during uptrend it went up 300 or more when it did without going 50 down.....

When the level shown by you gets broken, it will confirm the intermediate downtrend in a longer term uptrend in the daily chart posted by you....so we may see some more downside from that level. But it has nothing to do with 2 bars entry...that entry was at much higher levels (short on 2 bars was below low of 2-1-2015 little below 8300).

Reread all posts. hadnt understood clearly. Now i see it better.

We were on downtrend from 1 -12-14. A reversal and then we 2 bar opportunity.
logic: when we have turn back from reversal to downtrend taking over the entire reversal bar. It is followed by more bars in the down direction.....

I have been taking actually a change in intermediate trend with a sL.......

(short on 2 bars was below low of 2-1-2015 little below 8300). Thx I was looking at it as a 3 bars between 1 month.1st bar high of 8600 My 2 nd bar has a low of 8000... Current bar with low of today. Hence said that but I got what you said.....
As you are more in options, as far as I understood so far, you now try to move into a level of future trading which is quit tricky. Even the "Adding part" in such trading of dear ST you have to understand in dept.

Here I am not sure if you aware about this specific part. As you prefer lower risk trading, do a job beside some trades you do, the two bar strategy is maybe not what you would call: Trading in my zone.

This just some thing to think over and no critique in any way. But ST is a future pro and until now I have seen you more on the low risk option side, which is an other world.

Take care / Dan :)
