Forgive my ignorance but i still see this as a pivot. If any reasons can be given of why we are still holding yesterday's SL it would be appreciated

Yes, its a Pivot, but a minor pivot by my understanding!!! If u have used both pivots, u must use it for ur trade!!!!

I have never considered a minor pivot in my trades hence my SL still is at the high+room of yesterday!!!
However by 2 bar method this 4591.90+room should be the SL!!! Not very sure though....friends please comment!!!

If you are short, the above is a correct pivot.
The number tends to differ marginally from NSE to various data vendors.

Well - I don't know if it applicable to you or not - but still i feel it is a MUST for any trader however seasoned he is to backtest a system BEFORE trading. You may be good and disciplined enough - but others may not be. New traders can be misguided into believing that making money is so easy. Believe me - IT IS NOT. Unless one backtests a system, then trades a small quantitiy and makes some rules, it is simply not possible to succeed.

So if anybody feels or mentions about a backtest or rules, it should be respected and understood in a larger perspective. Again I repeat - you may be seasoned enough to handle things but many newbies may not be and can get carried away easily just by the figures and may make mistakes in trading.

I am sorry to interrupt but as you have mentioned that a trader may not be disciplined so backtesting is essential. Believe me no amount of backtesting can help a trader who is not disciplined.
