Hello

My view,

Aggressive method becomes active after a while ...

When we are just getting started on a new trend, both methods would work the same ...

The idea is not to get wipsawed on a dime ...

Thanks
NC,
Though most of the times, aggressive comes into play when we have been with a trend for some time...that is not a necessity.
The current move has been swift...so just protecting bit of points by moving stops above, by the 2 bar method.

As has been said many times before..no harm in continuing with the pure method...but to me, below 3848-15...the uptrend will be in dount.

Thanks,
Rakesh

Agree with you.

Also, if anything, the aggressive trade would be to take an add above the current range being made with all those side by side bars on the 30.

Hello

The beauty of this method is it makes trading stress free, inspite of using wider stops :D ..

On this trade we started with a stop of 3757 (for me) almost 150 points away from entry, and now it’s almost 200 points away from CMP, yet have no anxiety to trail it . . .

Thanks to SAINT Sir for showing us the way ...
You mean to update stoploss? Can u help out a bit here... 200+ points away now the stops are

Need some quanties to reduce subjectivity

1. How many hourly bars have to pass before you bring in sideways rule.
2. What rate of rise (or fall) as in points or % per hour, and for how many hourly bars to call it vertical move (either 2 bar or 30m)

At least in my case - stressfree because trade is in profit at CMP. Not sure I will feel the same if NF was going sideways in low 3800s today. I guess I have to mature yet :D

Hello Hari

We update the stop when we get a new pivot low (i.e. Higher Pivot Low)

What i meant in my above post was that, even if currently the stops look far away i feel no anxiety. Compared that to my earlier 'mindset' where I was in too much of a rush to trail the stop 'to lock in the gains' and invariably the markets continued to flow in the same direction after taking the stops out :D

Thanks
