Hmmm, Looking at your nifty trades i wasn't that aggressive, lot different than mine. Looks like i have more home work to do with WRB breakouts and breakdowns.

The black lines look like add point on these charts. I could not get the rule used for the last black line near the right edge of the chart. Or was the black line supposed to be on the top of the bar in place of the bottom?

Sorry No.1.......Black lines in all the charts denote ADD points... The one you pointed out is not an Add, but a Stop. Will amend it now.

The exact conclusion cannoty be derived unless we know AUB or AIntersectionB.

AUB= A+B-AintersectionB.

we know A+B=51+49 as mentioned ...
So there are three subsets now .. 1 who only trade NIFTY ..2 Who only trade stocks and 3 Who trade both.

So this can be through various possiblilities
But most likely in our case 49% trading in stocks are also trading Nifty ..
So deducting it from 51% ... there are only 2% who trade ONLY NIFTY .. ONLY STOCKS 0% and BOTH 49%.

This is correct. we can't draw conclusions.

from where did you get this figure 49%?

I wish I had prepared for CAT sometime, cant understand single thing, I voted for 4 stocks which I trade and now by your Mathemetical conclusion I dont trade even a single stock so where have I put my money , oh god

Calculation was based on assumption that there is no one who trade ONLY STOCKS. But as few like you are there then def results will change

See guys it goes like this ....
In a party
40 guest drink TEA
30 drink Coffee
20 Drink both tea and coffee

So can u tell how many total guest are there .. if you say 40+30+20=100 .. it is wrong
Total guest at party are = 40+30-20=50 (A+B-A intersection B)
How many Drink ONLY TEA = 40-20= 20
ONLY COFFEE= 30-20 = 10
BOTH TEA and COFFEE = 20

Similarly in our Survey each one of us either Voted for ONLY NIFTY . ONLY STOCKS or BOTH ..

you can solve this puzzle, if you , as a thread starter, are privy to the vote list.


another interesting thing is, out of 69 voters, 50 voted for nifty and another 28 voted for minifty. so, 9 voters are trading both nifty and minifty.

OK OK I got it .. So it means my assumption that there is No one who is trading ONLY STOCK is WRONG ...
I already mentioned it in my first post ... (most likely etc etc)

Its just an assumtion ..
See 51% voted for nifty ... so out if this 51% many voted for stocks aswell.
Similarly 49% voted for Stocks .. so out of this 49% many voted for nifty..
but we didnt have number how many voted for BOTH
So just to draw conclusion we assumed all 49% who voted for Stock also voted for Nifty .. remeber just assumed .. however reality is different.
