Guess, By and large for normal trader sharekhan is good. each trading account has some pros and cons, But sharekhan is little ok.

HDFC is good, But you have to wait 5 mins after market open, where you may loose some deal. also HDFC trading account not directly handle mutual funds. so choose sharekhan,

I too am fed up with Icici direct!! I too experienced the problem of stocks being ourchased at a higher rate and sold at a lower rate than the price at the moment. In addition to charging the highest brokerage in the market, the provide pathetic service. Their server is down or inaccessible atleast once every day! Did any of you guys read this edition of "Outlook Money"? The best broker award goes to ICICI direct!!!!!!!! What a joke!

the awards are given based on volume , not based on usability, so never trust these things. same for home loans too. ICICI are not good in those. Only area where ICICI is good is Banking(Internet Banking) that too not soo good when you approach bank.

I agree fully. Their net banking is the best ever. But visit their branch and you will end up wasting lot of time. In the intial days, icicidirect was good. I guess they have not expanded capacity to cater to the high volume. Could be the reason why their server crashes often.

Looks like indiainfoline(5paisa) seems to provide good service.



I might apply for that 8000Rs software terminal, since i trade a lot.. or atleast for ICICIdirect i have paid more than 10000 rs in a month, so far.

Their trading system is much better than ICICI. Its a Java applet which provides live prices and within 3-5 seconds one can place a order and get is executed. Also, unlike ICICI, one can buy stocks at 9.55am (specially if one wants to try UC/LC stocks like Jai Corp, RIIL). I have not done intra-day but for delivery i pay .5% trading cost and then the taxes. For selling i have to pay Rs.12/- as DP charges. This is still better than ICICI charges and works much better.
