If you guys are fedu with ICICI in a normal day (day with little volatility), then wait for a day with high volatility (something like sensex down by 5 - 10%). The site takes forever to open and by the time you get access to the site, all your stocks will be trading at the bottom. Happened to me twice. Thank God i dont trade/deal in F&O or else i would have got a shock.

1. I have been using HDFC 3-in-1 account for the past 2 years and have never faced any problems. Yes I do only long term and delivery based transactions thru this account. Its good for that. Never tried intraday thru it.
2. I use Religare for intraday. They give you a ODIN terminal if you maintain a credit balance of 5000.00 with them. Its fast and has realtime prices and you can trade without any fear of any time gap.

I guess you have to sign up either of these for those platforms to function.. simply download can not do anything.

Looks like indiainfoline(5paisa) seems to provide good service.



I might apply for that 8000Rs software terminal, since i trade a lot.. or atleast for ICICIdirect i have paid more than 10000 rs in a month, so far.

I had ICICI DIRECT account but have since closed it down when i realised that they were here to fleece us , customers .

I strongly advise everybody to quit trading through ICICI DIRECT ..
Reasons: -

1) There are no live quotes.
2) Their rates are different from Mkt rates. When you place buy order they charge you high. when you place sell order they give you lower prices. That fact has been experienced by me many times .
3) Their system crashes during overload.

SHAREKHAN : I have sharekhan account - Their system is good but crashes during overloads.

INDIAINFO : I find that they have a good trading interface for th customers . They have 5P trader , TT Advance and some other product which i am not aware of .

The above facts are based on my personal experience . Kindly verify thing at your end before taking a decision.

I trade using sharekhan, religare and ICICI direct. I face problem in all of them during loads, like gap up or gap down opening of market.

Trading from last 3 years and would rate sharekhan the best, and is improving by each passing day.

I too am fed up with Icici direct!! I too experienced the problem of stocks being ourchased at a higher rate and sold at a lower rate than the price at the moment. In addition to charging the highest brokerage in the market, the provide pathetic service. Their server is down or inaccessible atleast once every day! Did any of you guys read this edition of "Outlook Money"? The best broker award goes to ICICI direct!!!!!!!! What a joke!
