Actually it takes LOTS of Conviction to Buy in DOOMSDAY ambience. All members here has to take a Call with HIS/HER Money. Many of us will be observer & will remain so even at 300 points below from this OR 300 points above from this, though all of us know that every trade can go against us ,hence we put Stop, further the Stop the Qty (position size) is Lesser.
My personal Planning is done ,upto Nifty Fut's 3900 i will gradually be 75 % invested.

I agree with you Ajay, I didn't read the thread entirely (missed the fact its a year old), until you brought it to my attention we have 17 trading sessions left. Thought it was BSE at 7500 possible in a 1 year from today. It is highly unlikely this would happen in 17 trading sessions but its definitely possible this would happen sometime in the future.

Though i usually don't like to comment.

I will not see a close below 11999 in my lifetime.Assuming that i live at least 20 yrs more.
Amit sir with all due respect to you, you really shouldn't be saying things like that it might give new comers the wrong idea.

The Japanese nikkei went from 35000 to 10000 and all along people thought this would never happen, same for the Taiwanses TSEC, these are several more examples. Before the markets bottomed out in 1929 and plunged 20% in one day in 1987 just because it had never happened before and the chances of it happening were negligible people assumed it would never happen.

The only lesson we can learn from this is never write off something simply because the chances of it happening are negligible.

The historical fact is in the markets anything is possible but then again as Buffet says the only lesson we can learn from history is that people don't learn any lessons from history.

Saying the sensex will not go below 11999 in the next 20 years is an outrageously loose statement.

True Marcus, anything is possible since we have not witnessed a meltdown in recent history . For those of you around since 2001, even a relatively small incident like a dot com bust caused SP500 to lose 1/2 of its value and Nasdaq by 2/3rd. When big banks go under and governments go bankrupt, it is is more serious.

By any stretch of imagination ; this one is bigger and in a globally interlinked economy ; anything can happen. If hyper inflation hits ( by keeping rupee to around 39 per dollar) cash is not a safe place too.

DOW up more than 416, so there may be a gap up and run towards 18k, as i mentioned earlier it is not possible to get to the target within the year that i mentioned. But i am very sure we will hit the target (7500). i may upgrade my view to 8500 or 9500 later but it will always be <10k.

when you see that you have recovered your losses you might consider "SELL INTO STRENGTH" strategy.

After watching ur surety........I had a dream......BSE is trading at 500 and Nifty at 100 :)

It was really strange for me so I quickly had a talk with GOD and he cleared my doubts as :

It is possible if a world war take place........or crash of economy ....:)

It is also possible if 5 Top banks (world's) including 2 Bigest Indian Banks got defalter......:)

God also cleared that the crash is also possible if 5 Harshad......born together.....:) (it will not be possible for one Harshad now)

Lowest low in 2006 was near 8800 levels......I don't think at this time BSE will again go at 8800......

As far as I can see ........if bears decide to place last nail in bull's coffine.......I am not able to see a lower level beyond 3617......at nifty whearas 3880 sholud be the last point.........

However......let the time decide.....
