Even if all things line up, we will keep having these sudden reversals . . .

Events like today can never be foretold from price charts or technical analysis . . .

Now just try to guess what would be the positions carried by sons & nephews of the finance ministry & RBI officials,
yes not to leave out the manu, chidu & their gang of thugs

"Welcome to the world of trading . . . "Anything can happen" and will happen"

But I guess you already said that :D

:) Happy

Disclaimer:
I was not carrying any longs due to not being active for personal reasons.
but I trade BNF actively and my system was long, so today would have taken a hit of 500 points

I keep repeating that to myself. It keeps me alert, and less dreamy.

Sure, charts TA or FA cannot "predict" or foretell, but one has to have a grounding; a reasonable basis to start from. Some rely on Astrology and still keep SL.... some rely on charts... but rely on SL even more.

:D ahhha the stop loss, it would have triggered sometime yesterday midnight . . .

And about Astrology what I believe is it can predict perfectly after the event has already happened . . . .

for me the best approach would be to just take the loss sportingly in the hope of making it up in due course . . .

anyway, carry on with your journal, thanks :thumb:

Will initiate shorts at 5892.35 Spot.

BnF is already near June Lows. This short trade could go deep, if NF tries to catch up with BnF. Currently, the only sector positive is FMCG. So, if derivatives reverse then NF June low is 5566 !!

The anticipated short trade has very good potential for two reasons:

1) BnF has taken lead giving us a strong hint of the direction
2) Nf would have a breakout failure on the Daily frame, giving the short trade a strong momentum, which is very beneficial for buying options.

VIX under 19.... dnt take shorts.... be catious.
every one is long.

5800 CE last week one million shares were added, and so on.

Happy trading
You mean Vix has to be below 19 for taking any shorts?

My logic for exiting now is:

1) Price has travelled from 5600 to 6000. That is a little above average.
2) Now the price is showing signs to fatigue. Hence, is not expected to run another 400 points.
3) Profit targets are met.
