I would appreciate if you can give the total profit or loss on closing / expiry at different NIFTY levels 4200, 4300, 4400, 4500 by taking August position. I mean to say maximum profit, maximum loss and Zero Loss/Profit will be at what Nifty levels for better understanding of call given by you.

The point in this strategy is not to hold till expiry..... Just for intraday or max hold for 1 day or something....

Anyways IF Held till expiry ...

Max loss = Rs 6000(the premium given..) for ANY close below 4400

Max Profit = Rs 14,000 @ close of 4500

Break even ---> Close of 4430

My advice --> sell 4400 calls @ 22.5 if it Trades around that level and keep the 4500 puts that you sold.... OR Risk averse Or ppl without any margin can square off all their positions @ the close of the day (for there may be any unexpected upward move ...)

I have paper traded as per call given by you. At the end of day, position is as under: Gain in selling 300 Nifty 4400 @15 = (15-05)x300 = Rs.3000
Loss in buying 200 Nifty 4500 @45 = (45-22)x200 = Rs.4600
My query is how can I reduce the above loss of Rs.1600. Please comment if my calculation is wrong for my better understanding.
Let us see if I hold this position for tomorrow, what happens?

We would have gained, if say the markets had gone up....

Now say as i said... if we booked losses in 4400 call @ Rs 22 we had a net loss of 4600.

Now with just 3 days remaining and with such strong resistance it is very tough for nifty to close above 4500, thus no have to proit/loss we would have kept the 4500 Calls sold and assuming market do not close above 4500 in the next 3 days we would have recovered our losses.

Present Situation - Now we keep on holding this 4400 call... Unless the market makes a strong move Upward tomorrow, our Call of 4400 will keep on decreasing, but a strong upward move say upto 4360 will bring us back in profit where we can square off our trade with maybe no gain Or continue holding.

If tomorrow market is on lower side or even flat, the 4400 call will start to come nearer to 0 thus making our losses @ the max side of 6000.

*For the month of September...

Buy 100 4600 Put @ 285
Sell 200 4300 Put @ 135(i.e you get 135*2=270)

Buy 100 4100 Put @ 75
Sell 200 3900 Put @ 37(37*2 = 75 approx)

Total Investment = 1500 Rs

Also Sell 200 4600 Calls @ 65
& Sell 200 4200 Puts @ 100

Total Received = 16,500

Net Received = 15,000
we can do same with half the lots. what's the break even point ? max profit ill be when nifty trades between 4200 and 4600. if i want to close all positions what should be the nifty ? also what is nifty to get maximum profit and maximum loss ?

can we just do sell 4600 call and sell 4200 put ? too many trades, brokerage is high..

Dear arnav, i appreciate ur work. but, some clarity is missing and not same as thread title suggests. My adv to u is that u have given a calculated risk in addn to this u try to give clear cut strategy like when nifty reaches this level cover (call/puts) or apply another strategy. This is my view and no offence intended. Hope iam clear.

boss thanks for nice strategy but i did ulta then it works means ( long wala short and short wala long)
dear i did analys this strategy i found following results :
1 > do it reverse what you say i.e. short wala long and long wala short
2> maximum profit will be 61400
3> loss will be infinite
4> loss will start below 3993 profit upto 4757
