Hi Loganathan,
Been using Chartsdata for about 2 weeks now & glad to say that your program is indeed excellent.
Thanks.
I know I have said this earlier, but once again, something ought to be done about the feeds getting interrupted.
You did mention about the clipboard function, but since the past
few days, I noticed that feeds were getting interrupted apparently for no reason. (No I wasn't using the clipboard, & believe me its tough to use windows without it.. anyway am trying to get used to this while chartsdata is working.)
I noticed that whenever I am multitasking, using word/excel or a browser, (specifically firefox )on the machine for an extended duration for about 30-60mins, the data feed tends to get interrupted. (Once again, I am not using the clipboard at all ) This has happened to me now about 6 times in the past three days.
To use chartsdata without any data loading interruptions, it is best to use IE as your browser instead of firefox, especially if you are using yah00 as your source.
If I only use the machine for txfr of data from ODIN to AB, chartdata works absolutely fine right through the day.
It is very boring to wait & sit idle till a trading opportunity is ripe & ready. And it is also difficult to sit idle in the meantime. But seriously, the thought of data transfer getting interrupted, makes it very difficult to carry out any parallel task on the machine.
Just make your IE as your default browser and try again. Firefox does have a lot of inbuilt functions which will occupy your RAM to work almost all the times in the background. if you want to check it by yourself, just load the firefox and check its memory usage, browse for 10 to 15 mins and check again for its memory usage, you will be amazed but i admit that firefox's security implementation is much better than IE
I do hope you look into this and find a solution to this problem soon.
Cheers & thanks once again for all your support.
Amar.
