Re: Trading only one hour in a day !!!!!

yes, i went thru those excels. they r good but analyze only last 4-5 months. with an afl i think past years can be analysed easily.

i somehow have a thought in my brain that in putting SL Dow Futures/Dow opening at night may play some role. coz we carry our position overnight and one of major factor affecting our market is US markets.
Good suggestion but DWeep :
On two distinct occassions recently, market here did just the opposite of Dow. Let us try to stick to what we can easily analyse and track.

BTW am not sure that we can place 'after market' SL orders in India, will any one sure about this aspect please confirm.

Hmm..Some people in this forum have a lot of attitude...so much that they make people beg and say sorry a counless times (even when they do not know what thier fault is)...This guy doesnt reply to the PM's and has stopped posting here without any reason...Dont wanna mention his name..But if this is the attitude shown by people who should be sharing knowledge, the whole purpose of this forum would be dead very soon..PATHETIC

Kammy i know whom you talking about. Dont mind buddy... He must have some problem.

HEy yaar i noticed one thing , whenver % has risen above 91 next trade has been losing one, means mkts nearly everytime fell when % was above 91 , maybe telling anything above 91 is fake rally making us conscious.

Hey kammy i know am asking for too much but the EXCEL u made , cn u tweak the formulas a bit and show me next days close instead of Next days open. I knw u hv less time , but Next day open is uselss for me bro. I did some peeping from Historic price frm yaho and u knw what , wud have made real big profits even with ma LIMITATION of sq off trade at 3pm only.

See if u cn manage , theres no hurry.

Only limit orders are accepted after market hours. SL orders are not allowed. That goes for cash as well as derivatives.

Re: Trading only one hour in a day !!!!!

Hi friends...sorry for the delay...Found some more points to add and get the nod from you guys here..just have a look..

For many here the stop loss version would have been the most disturbing one because of the extent of gap that we might get the next day...

For this i just thought we could convert another sister method on the same lines...In this we would define 3 specific times say 10 am , 12.30 pm and 3 pm...We would now do the same calculations and go as per the stratergy....i have been experimenting with this the whole of last week as promised to AW sir and karnani sir...The problem is i cannot display the back testing because of really hectic work at college..so just have the results on the paper..promise to convrt them into XLS as soon as possible..plzz excuse me...And plzzz remember this strategy was tested by me in mostly volatile markets( the past 10 days)..the effect of this when nifty moves sideways is yet to be seen...Good luck..

PS: Just thought to add up somethin new for the intraday guys...

Re: Trading only one hour in a day !!!!!

can you post the results as per initial post and AW sir rules. for last 10 days paper trades. i think we are confusing this with too many strategies. jst buy/sell at 3:20, close at 9:55 next day with 70-30 rule

A novice......

Can anybody say....basing on this method, what would have been the strategy on 17th Nov?, In my opinion buy.......then on 18th nov08, i would have incurred loss.....in my opinion too many dependent variables of a single function which are correlated.....no holy grail method.....but nice idea, since all professionals take decision during the last 30 minutes of the market, swing trade sort of......best of luck...we can still refine our method, which seems promising once we hedge ourselves to losses
