Hi drsubhadip ,

It dosen't matter at all.But he must respond if he needs to add customers.I am doubting if he really is interested giving acct for small traders.I feel he want very high volumes wala ...So my search continues for a broker with less brokerage , atleast similar to RK.But good service is necessary.
I have stopped trading from RK account.Continuing with Sharekhan...Friends please share any other broker's name who gives such a brokerage ..like RK.

Thanks,
Raju

Hi Raju,

I couldn't understand the point why a fixed-rate broker like RKG would want very high volumes from its traders. They would rather like to have high-frequency traders as customers. In my opinion small and novice traders fall in this category. Most of the high volume traders (except the scalpers) do not trade quite frequently and wait for the right opportunity to take their trades. A small or novice trader would take 4/5 trades to take position in say,100 shares (ex.-Buy 10 shares to find that it was a wrong decision, again will buy 20 shares to average the loosing position, would take advise from somebody else to find out the support level and add 40 shares and finally would add 30 more in order to top them all and sell them all in one go to completely mess up the whole process) where as a high volume(read professional) trader knows when to trade the stock, the lot size he wants to trade, position sizing and his money management rules before even he takes the trade. For a high volume/professional trader, his lot size might be 100. So he would need only 2 trades to cut his losses in the above-mentioned example.

The real problem with RKG is not their customer service or cheap brokerage. Though I'm not a techie, but what I understood is that they have a serious problem of maintaining their servers (it may happen as I think they have more customers logging in at one time than their system can handle. I found that ODIN crashes mainly at or around 12-12:30 pm when the Europe market opens) which is an infrastructural problem and not a relationship-based problem. On the contrary, I found that their customer service is at par with any other broker or even better (at least they are honest to admit their faults and I have never got any complaint from their customers of cheating or any other hidden activities)!

If you are in Pune, you can contact Mr. Pradhan at 9604052227 who is a sub-broker with Mangal Keshav Commodities. I have had good exp. so far.
Not sure if he can offer RK level b'age, but it will sure be competitive + ODIN. Give it a try.

tried sending this info via PM, but since PM is not enabled on your id - had to post it.

NOTE-Not soliciting any business for anyone. just sharing exp.

Best wishes.

Hello Raju,

i trade with Sharebazaarinfo

they also same as RK Global brokerage,

just check with [email protected]

even there uptime of odin and netnet is good,

account opening charge is rs.500/- so just give a try,
Their website shows they r providing NOW, not odin. Can you share your experience with them? How is their service?
Anybody here had used NOW? It is browser based so I doubt about the speed of platform.
Thanks

Comm4300,

Thanks for the Info.I will surely call them and ask the details.

PGDIMES,
RKG has very innovative idea of so less brokerage.Idea with good implementation in IT/Finance works well.
Just that they should maintain their servers properly. They can get so many customers.Regards their customer service ..they just don't pick up the call.At least Dial and Trade people should be available is what I expect when servers are down.

Disaster recovery/Backup is very much important in Finance. These stuff should be well planned.Once-twice we can understand.U know in August we have faced so many problems.

Hoping that they implement some good backup servers/Lines/Networks ...

OneIndia,
Sharebazzarinfo are providing NOW..Do u have any experience with it.

Thanks,
Raju
