Problems I face
1. Net positions did not show my positions after order execution - couldn't get much help from them. I Was told to install "patch" after downloading it from website. Didn't get much information and was left hanging in the air. I downloaded Kolkata client patch from their website. After copying the files started facing newer issues. Rolled back the patch and then copied just one file "Odin6docomm.dll". That fixed the net positions problem

Hi,
I faced the same problem with ODIN Mumbai client. Solved by copy and pasting the "Odin6docomm.dll" to DIET folder.

I do not get to see my complete net position... I mean... the positions that I carry over night... When I take a intraday position that is only what I am able to view...

Is it that this patch solves the problem of complete net positions?

Yes, I am able to see carried over positions after installing the patch

Take the "latest diet patch for kolkata". Do not install all the files just that one dll mentioned earlier

Yes MB, I downloaded file "Latest Diet Patch for Kolkata". Copy and pasted the above mentioned file to C:/ODIN/DIET folder. It solved my problem. Earlier net position folder remained blank. As I have not carried any position overnight so can't reply in this regard.

As far as intraday net position is concerned... I was able to view it from the day one... but never the carried over positions... will check today if my carried over positions are reflected or not!

As a new user of RKG, this thread helped to address and circumvent many of the issues that have been mentioned.

One issue not mentioned is that the quotes update every 3 to 5 seconds, typically 4 seconds. I was expecting the updates to be faster. This is confirmed by the data file, for example, today Nifty Futures show:
125101,3087.00,3000.00
125105,3085.95,200.00
125109,3085.00,50.00
125113,3084.20,50.00
125117,3083.20,400.00

Is this aggregation of quotes true for just me, RKG, or all Diet Odin user? If a software utility is used to feed data to Amibroker based on this file, the granularity be 4 secs as well.

Is this data file from the data folder? It could be that the quotes are written every 3-4 seconds to the hard disk. These in turn are probably used by the connection softwares to put this data into Amibroker.
