Yes, the file is from the data folder but do not think it is a cached write. Adding the 'Last Update Time' column to the Market Watch window also shows an update every 4 seconds or so. Visually, a screen quote updates every 3-4 seconds.

Can you confirm that Diet Odin, for a particular heavily traded script, updates more frequently than 3-4 seconds.

hi. can you also tranfer fund to a nationalized bank, state bank of saurashtra? If not do they send the cheque to your house, as rkglobal doesnot have any branch in hyderabad.

I do not have RK Global account, but was thinking of getting one. If data bandwidth is so low then it may not be worth it.

You can try and watch updates for NIFTY near month futures. There are at least 10-15 trades per second for that scrip.

Today the quotes were slow - every 3-4 seconds. I use eSignal in parallel and I could see updates faster on that. Most days they are in sync

Will update after watching over the next few days

No they will not send cheque to as far as I know... you have to open an online a/c with them... where money transfer can be done online... Good if you have an HDFC bank a/c...

Just call them and find out for accurate information... what I mentioned above was told to me when I opened the a/c

The data files in the Odin\Diet\Data folder cannot be writing consolidated values as the volume column would be wrong. Comparing against the 1 minute IEOD data that Soumya uploads shows that the volumes per minute in the Diet data is less than 10%.

I also checked the files that were generated about 20 days back when the demo took place prior to opening the account. They too show that the data file writes have a period of about 4 seconds. This leads to the belief that while the Market watch, for a set of scripts, appear to be updating more frequently, an individual script update is delayed. Would be happy if you can confirm this to be wrong or a temporary occurrence.

Which file are you looking at? I only see index data files.

Today, both eSignal & ODIN are in sync. Takes about 3 secs but updates in sync on both. Could be my net connection or NSE itself

The data files in the ODIN\DIET\Data folder. For Nifty Futures of 27Nov2008, the code is 46986 and the data files is 46986_2_11112008_NREAL.txt

You may need to open the corresponding graph once to initiate the generation of the file. Subsequently, the graph need not be open. This works for me.

Friends,RK Global used to take 15% margin for Nifty Futures and NSE were charging near about that percentage!But now,what is the charge from NSE side for NF? Can anybody give me any link that tells the exact amount NSE is charging now? Or if they have increased margin money or so?

I am observing that the RK global is charging as high as 26% (more than) for my orders for NF! Is it the same u guys are paying?

What is the charge for other brokers for futures?
