What kind of firewall?

I dont think firewall should be a problem as long as outgoing connections are allowed. The problem is due to firewall settings and not firewall itself.

I tried the new broadcast server today. Works slightly better, but got disconnected twice.

I spoke to Kolkata office and they said, they're sorting out things of delay orders etc. and it will be ok soon... how its working for you guys?

What if you enter the wrong quotes and restart?
You have to log in to the server to get the quotes right?

Login should not be affected by broadcast/multicast settings. In any case, entering an arbitrary IP, closing application, restarting Odin and logging in does not get affected if you actually do so. The arbitrary IP does get written to the registry.

i was considering opening an acc with rkg (yes, their brokerage is very tempting) even after reading the issues that all users have posted in this thread. but today i discovered that this is not the only thread and that there are many others regarding them.

they look very much gaye guzre to me atm.

so im seeking advice : for a novice futures trader (i feel so big calling myself a trader ) is going with rkg really that bad an option? thing is, i dont have a lot of capital to risk in delayed executions and the such.

btw, im in hyd. so any local users have advice?

Hi All,

I am new user of RKG web based online trading.
After entering into the trading site, I am continuously seeing error in the window saying "Unable to establish socket connection" and not able to see the stock prices in the watch list. I have called them about this issue and they told me to install Remote connect software. After installing the software, when I tried running it, It is also giving error saying not able to connect.

If anyone in this loop faced similar issue, could you please help me in resolving it.

Hi Friends,

After 3 weeks of F&O trading through RKG account, I thought to check how quick & effective there fund withdrawal system is. I placed a request to withdraw Rs.10,000 on 08/09/09 @ 4.00 pm through there Diet Odin terminal fund transfer link and got a confirmation number, after 1 hr I checked there backoffice site and found my request was updated there with comment ''Check number XXXXX for amount Rs.10,000 is submitted". Yesterday I got SMS from HDFC bank that "Amount of INR10,000 is deposited in your account" when I check my bank account yes it was the same check issued by RKG. So, the complete story is they took 1hr or less to cut the check and updated there backoffice records, check took only one day to get cleared. (Maybe both of our accounts are in HDFC bank) overall this transaction created a good picture of RKG for me.
