u can call them and they will freeze ur accnt and that way u will not have to pay software charges , confirm with cc

Strange thing happened today. R K Global Odin was working fine till 2:20PM today when it suddenly disconnected. I tried login again but it said
1. Server name could not be resolved
2. connectivity error

I called RKG techinal help who informed me that my net is the problem. I replied that all sites are loading in IE normally except www.rkglobal.net. They insisted that something is wrong with my airtel internet.

I uninstalled AVG antivirus, Comodo firewall, re-run Odin registry, restarted computer with UAC disabled but same problem persisted. Again called RKG and was told same thing that my net was the problem.

Then suddenly the www.rkglobal.net started loading in IE and when I logged into Odin, there was no problem.

Can somebody please explain what actually happened?

When there is sudded increase in traffic or load or say there are sudden moves in the market,I have seen this happen. Even pretty stable platforms like Power India Bulls gets affected. That is why for these situations you must keep a hard stop loss in case the market moves against your position.

Today RKG site not working till 9:30 (both their website as well as trading server). On calling their Delhi office, i'm informed it'll take another half an hour.

I'll definitely close my account with them as soon as i close my positions.

Problem is u can't have overnight s/l . Since the problem occurred at opening there's very little u can do. except call and place an order, that too if their lines aren't jammed.

I use the web version for trading Nify Options.


Any other users facing similar problem ???
Any recommendations for other brokers having comparable brokerage??

Yes I do face same problem. In fact its been going on sporadically for many months now. But nothing like today.

If you see my post above (#947), same thing happened on 22nd June but the guy at their Delhi office (Mr. Rawat) insisted that my internet was at fault - and told me that rkglobal.net is loading alright on his internet.

I spent time in checking everything from anti-virus, firewall, odin registry, re-booting etc. But it turned out to be that their server was down.

This kind of out-right lying on part of broker is definitely not worth Rs. 9/- brokerage... Everything connected with R K Global is down on internet - their website, their Odin server till the time of this posting... hope they are not playing cricket with Dhoni!

RKGlobal is down since morning.

I am wondering if they are using software written by some students...
There are n number of issues when it is working.
Right click on quote and try to get market depth. Session timeout !
Login takes too much time. One has to login many times due to their timeout funda ( that is the only one work always ! )
https gone and now only http. God help us !
There was a mention of using NSE terminal some months back.. No news !

The only that rocks is their brokerage.. No one can compete. However, a highly unreliable trading platform masks all their good things.
