Start windows -- Start NOW or NEST -- Start Excel -- Open RT3 -- Check whether Prices are changing -- If not link to Excel -- If prices are changing, Click on the button "Start RT Data"

AmiBroker should open automatically. -- Open Chart for Scrips taken in RT3 -- Set intraday interval to tick -- check whether new ticks are appearing and charts are moving.

If not press "Prt Sc" button on top right of your keyboard or take a screenshot of RT3 as well as Ami if it has opened and give here. I shall help help you if you help yourself first. Please give full screenshot. Do not cut it. I need exact stage from above where it is going wrong.

My Dear Psych Trader,

You have created two database at different location on your C Drive.
1. C:\AmiBroker\NowRTData
2. C:\Program Files\AmiBroker\NowRTData and it seems there is third one at
3. C:\Program Files\AmiBroker\MyNewData
Which one do you want to use?

You have given the first database path to RTG3.xlsm as seen in this screenshot.

RTG3 is opening that database at startup.

Look at the status down in AmiBroker. You can see NowRTData is opened. (first location) It is also updating charts there. There are two bars in NIFTY12JUNFUT.

However, you want the database at second location as you past data is there.

If you want charts updated in second database, you have to give that path in RTG3. other wise Garbage in Garbage Out.

To add to josh,

The error you are making is not giving the correct path of your database.

The database path given in RT3 is worng as I persume that you ambibroker folder would be in C:\Program Files and not in C:

so give the correct path as C:\Program Files\AmiBroker\NowRTData in RT3.xls

just confirm if your databse is in C:\Program Files\AmiBroker\NowRTData or C:\Program Files (x86)\AmiBroker\NowRTdata (because windows 7 by default instals ambibroker in C:\Program Files (x86) and you have created the database folder in ambibroker folder.

What ever be the case please give corect folder location. This should solve yor problem

Have a look. I think this will solve problem for many of you.

Good video tutorial. If you can give date setting it will be even better. Backfill fails for many because their system date settings are not correct.

RT3 from ODIN to Ami can support more than 5 scrips - i set up for a guy 2day and he is fetching 40 scrips.

now the question arises - have we to increase the time lag part from 3 sec to more or is it to be the same time lag?

1) i m not getting chart & no symbol
2) i m not able to backfill the file ( when i click the backfill button the page is diverting some code page i have change the dd/mm/yyyy also )

If there was a problem he would have got an error. Since he is fetching 40 scrips let him continue. If he can install Dataram's RAM Disk, performance will be even better.

who will take the trouble to install the RAMDisk as i have to do it. its going and fetching data from ODIN thats ok.

let him continue and i will get the feedback which is very much required.

till then we have to wait - when the errors creep up
