Hi kickass,

Thanks for your comments! NinjaTrader does look beautiful on their charts. How does this compare to other platforms such as MT4? Any of you guys tried Geojit in India?

And nice catch on the mistake, it is 50% but somehow it wasn't updated on our FAQ. Updated it with the new amounts.

Best,

ninjatrader still beats mt4. (have used mt4 abt a year back). its not just about how the charts look. simple things like zooming along the axes etc are a PITA in mt4. also there is a huge community of developers for ninja(paid and free) u cud literally get anything programmed.
also ninja has far more robust strategy creation mechanism and backtesting capabilities. the only reason mt4 became successful is that a lot of forex brokers provided it and back then ninja was just introduced on the scene.

I have a couple of queries which require your explanation so that I could get clear on my confusions which might sound petty but still need clarity .

1. When I use your transaction calculator for Options , in Buy & Sell fields which values will I be putting a). Premium Value or b). Strike Price value ?

This question is arisng because as of now the brokerage service I am availing offers Rs. 35 flat on options one side so my brokerage in a Buy & Sell Options trade is in the range of Rs. 70+ per trade . If I use your calculator with premium values on 1 Lot of Nifty then the breakeven value and costs are ridiculously low . Kindly clear my confusion if you have understood what I am trying to ask . I will reframe my question if I was unable to make my point clear . :)

2. If I write options for an Intraday Trade what will be the margin required for 1 lot of Nifty and in case of carry forward trade by how much will it change ?

Thanks in Advance .

Am not yet trading with you, but participating about the trading platform.

MT4 is a good software and easy on the resources. Haven't experienced MT5. But whatever the alternative that you provide, will the quotes be updated in real time from the exchange ?? NOW is simply unbeatable in that regard. If any future version of NOW can incorporate good charts, it will be unbeatable overall.

Hi rockyrobust,

1) It's not the strike price of the option, it is the price of the option that you enter on the brokerage calculator. And yes, the breakeven values and costs can be very low (say for an option priced at Rs. 100). The absence of a fixed or % brokerage fee makes it possible to achieve this.

2) For options, we don't offer any intraday margin. Buying an option requires the full premium while selling it requires the full applicable margin (span + exposure).

When are you planning to offer MT4 for trading purpose? Well, MT5 seems better compare to MT4.

One example of Order followed by pending Open Position:

No plans yet, just getting a feel of what you guys like about different platforms. Sorry, I meant to say MetaTrader in general, not MT4 vs. MT5.

pl ans me will i be able to use now of other brokers with ur id t abt nest pulse?is it brokers attachment or provided uniformly to now users
Hi sachin,

You can use NOW with multiple brokers. However, for Nest Pulse you have to pay for each broker. This is because you pay Omnesys for Nest Pulse and they charge separately for each account.

Hi RKSV,

I was thinking about opening an account with you until I saw your above-mentioned comment. Why don't you provide intraday margin in options writing when it has the same/less amount of risk compared to futures!!!
