Hi RKSV,

I was thinking about opening an account with you until I saw your above-mentioned comment. Why don't you provide intraday margin in options writing when it has the same/less amount of risk compared to futures!!!
Yes I agree ,Intraday risk is low in option writing, so if some want to do jobbing in option , he need both facility , writing and buying.:)

Hi guys,

Option shorting holds more risk than shorting futures, especially during volatile periods. We used to offer it earlier but took it out after being advised by our Risk Management team. Once NSE NOW offers more advanced features in risk management, we will bring it back.

Thanks for your prompt replies !!

I have a question regarding your referral program . The question is that the discount of 20% which you are providing will be in monetary terms .i.e. money credited into the referrer's account or will it be adjusted in the 1947 plan ?

Thanks

Will you please explain how a far OTM option writing has more risk compared to naked future position?

If liquidity is an issue, then nifty options are far more liquid than some of the operator-driven stock futures. :)

Hi Shailu,

We provide 50% or 2x exposure for futures. So for Nifty futures, if the price is Rs. 5,000, then the value is 2.5 lakhs. Out of that, say the NSE requires a margin amount of around 10% which is Rs. 25,000. We will only require 50% of that applicable margin which is around Rs. 12,250.

The Rs. 1,947 plan is for both cash and F&O.

Hi TheDreamer,

You get the premium amount back when you short the option. Because of this, we don't offer margin on top of that. After detailed analysis, our risk management group figured that there are certain risk scenarios in which this can lead to tricky situations for both the broker and the client if we give both margin and premium benefits. We have already raised the concerns to the NSE NOW team and they are working on it. Hopefully, in the near future we can provide you with this benefit again.

Hi rockyrobust,

It will be money credited to the referrer's account :thumb:. You can transfer this to your bank account.
