Hi Amit,
Rightly said....there is lot of discipline and cool thinking....
Thanks for your guidance you have given to we juniors helping us to know what is good and bad while trading...
u are great guru as regards trading for me atleast....
Madhura :)

Hi Usha,

Dont think you need to dump your univ rank certs..cos it doesnt take those to make a successful trader..

The way out i guess is to develop a strategy by playin in with small amounts and then scale up the "one startegy" you are mos comfy ith.

Atleast thats what i do.

Cheer up..cos unless you been to the deepest of the vallies, you would never know hw pleasant it is on the peaks.

Regards
Gaurav

Hi Usha...terribly pained to know of your losses, but as Jaideep and Alok have rightly pointed, this is about winning and losing and the success lies in trading to a plan which takes a lot of discipline and cool thinking.
Just take great care in selecting a trade and planning for it. Also, derivatives are never an easy play for the best of traders, and certainly not without a sound hold on TA.
We will all do our best to help in every which way, so don't lose heart.
I'll track Escorts and TataChem again later today and post.
Take good care.

Hi Madhura..thanks for all the warm remarks, but I'm just a learner here along with everyone else. No Guru at all and sharing what I've learnt. :)
I do have a query pending from you wich I'll come to tonight or tomorrow. I believe the market is closed tomorrow?
Cheers.

Hi,
I have entered SHAW WALLACE at 193 and now it is trading at 150-160 levels. Can you please give me the outlook for the stock.

Cheers
Hi lalooji...yes there is some temporary weakness here, and should pass I feel. The reason is, volume has thinned out in this fall and once the market gains strength, we should be looking at higher levels again...as in so many other counters. There is support at 155-160. It'll be safer above 168.
The Mallaya group counters have attracted a lot of interest recently and should all do well in the time to come.
Do keep me posted on this.
Thanks.

hi amit,
I am soo depressed now that I cannot even thank you the way I should have to. My broker sold my tata chemicals futures since I was in debit of around 20000/-(M to M) which I wanted to pay by cheque todays evening, causing me a loss of Rs.15000/- Regarding escorts at the moment it is showing support at 88,but still I am down Rs.30000/- I think I am not fit to trade and I donot think so I am intelligent enough to trade. (I should dump my university Rank certificates) Thanks you remember my ICICI query. In that trade also I took just 1/4th of profit in a hurry(or fear to loose even that) Now I am waiting sitting on huge losses. Exactly opposite of what experts guide us. That is the reason I am saying I am not (yet, perhaps) fit to trade. Thanks amit for your prompt reply, bye,
usha
Hi Usha,

Your pain is very evident from this post and has pained(for want of a better word) many of us as well.I hope you recover from this pain, and bounce back and make it all back.

Usha, please take some advice from a person who has blown his account a few times, and realised that something need to be changed, and done the necessary.........Believe me when I tell you, that your losses are pittance once you start making it big.It is tough in the beginning, one just doesn't know what to do......but as already said by Jaideep,we all sustain losses everytime. If I were to show you all my trades in a month, you will see that I have more losses than gains, but small losses and big gains.

Yes,you took a hit........but don't give up.There's amethod to this madness, there are many who are making lakhs per day,why not you?You can do it.........throw away your certs(not meaning that literally!),they are of no use here.I am a doctor, who cares, the market certainly doesn't care.......it's all about strategy and discipline and doing it again and again and again. You could be an illiterate or an atomic physicist, you will succeed if you follow all the right strategies and disciplines.

Usha, now is the time for education..........learn entry points, exit points through stops, profit taking strategies, money management techniques, share sizing..........trade small in the beginning, stay away from daytrading for now, stay away from derivatives for now.

As your confidence picks up,and you start making money.......by all means increase your share size, get into daytrading or futures.......but a step at atime.

You are now playing with money that you are scared to lose.......you have got to learn the art of share sizing and Risk/Money Mangement rules.Don't give up.........believe me when I tell you that you can make it big,but first educate yourself.

Wishing you all the best!

Hello Saint,
Well said Saint,
I have also learnt a lot of things in this forum and while trading for some days now....
Usha...You should feel lucky to have such great friends around trying to reduce your pain around..
I have also learnt that if you invest in good fundamentally strong companies, seeing support-resistance levels, going deeper into technical analysis, it would be fun and great here....
Dont ever think you are not fit for this trading or whatever...
All the best to you in future...

Madhura!

Hi Saint, Thanks for the expert info. Trading is definitely part art and part science. You guys are really good at it. And deserve the recognition and acclamation for sharing information and providing help to many newbies (which includes me) on this forum. There are countless sites on the web which provide valuable info only after charging us. So great going super traders. I really appreciate your effort in guiding and enlightening us.
Thank you for your kind words........most sincerely appreciated :)

All the best
Saint
