Prudent choice, by me? No, Mr. SG. I just admitted that I still live in the dark world of tips and guesswork. My broker called me and said, "Sir! HANUNG khrido, jaldi! 450 tak jaayega!"
And I, Goofy, clicked-clicked the keyboard in jiffy. There they were, 300 of them, 410.30 a piece. A second later my heart sank as my eyes turned to right hand columns.

The opening price: about 399.
The high:414.40.
The low: about 396

I gotta get out if it, NOW!!, I thought. It moved up, 411.25..411.60...
I entered the price and hit ENTER... Nothing happened.
Guess what, Airtel went into samadhi! When it woke-up, it was 397.
I Just cursed myself and kept on looking at my ruin. It closed at about 403. Later, my broker said, O, Sirji, 450 ka target aaj ke liye thode na kahaa tha!.
Well, you can guess what I said in return...
Now including the brokerage and all, it's about as high asthe high that I saw.

Well, that's the trading world.

Thanks, I will.

Just being curious. Suppose you were in my place; had got the same, 'sir HANUNG khrido!', call from the broker. What sort of price trigger you would have had?
Why don't you please tell us all, what would be your sequence of steps in real time in my situation.
(Ignore that my Airtel was busy chanting OM NAMO SHIVAYE :))

Bad Stocks? Ek doondo hazaar milthe hi.:D

http://www.moneylife.in/article/71/827.html

I beg to differ Mr. hills_5000. This focusing on the +ve and ingnoring the -ve is a mumbo-jumbo of 1960s hippie culture of USA. Any two-penny electical engineer can tell you that you need both for the current to flow. Can there be Ram without Ravan? Can the greatness of Gandhi stand a chance without the petty thinking of Nathuram Godse? Can you walk on one leg? Think about it.
Gestalt is a psychological term. In layman's terms it means, the overall picture. Yes, we do need to know which stocks are bad. So that we could better understand the factors that make the good stocks GOOD. A society that only celebrates its heroes, and ignores to chart the criminal activities, heads for the trouble sooner than later. Same is applicable to each of us.

Best regards, and happy Diwali.
I think that's asking for a bit too much from people.

Guys , the aim should be to focus on the positive and not the negative. This thread gives you the positive stocks . What more do you want ?

Futhermore , there is no end to bad stocks , the list is endless. So starting a thread to put their names down is point less and time wasted which could have been spent on better things.

regards
