Thank you, SavantGarde, for being so prompt.
I had the same idea about the IDEA. Till now I made only three bad calls. Third is HINDOILEXP. I am hoping that Mr. Jhunjhunwala pumps it up. And no, it wasn't the channels or the 'suits' who led me through the garden path; it was the age-old greed that creeps up now and then from behind and whispers in your ear "Yeah, you're God. Make it happen."
But Market has a way to notice, and make you pay for these mental transgressions.
Thanks, again.

Hi Goofy,

I am glad...that the 'situation' was entirely your creation...

Anyways.... market has been in a very benevolent mood for quite sometime...and continues to be so....suggest you make good this opportunity presented....

Banks as a sector is difficult to go wrong in.... watch softness.....because of upcoming RBI policy meeting....where it is expected for some tweaking and use the opportunity for entry....

Hi Veluri,

Thanks a lot...!!!

There is position sizing already in place with 20/50 SMA strategy.... and there is lot of thought that has gone into it... pick on any of the post of 20/50 & you will see what I mean...

@Asnavale,
@SavantGarde,

I have made out an excel sheet based on the concepts of Van K Tharp for position sizing, if used with this AFL, may be useful. I am giving the link for downloading the excel below for your consideration.

@ SG

I have also observed that RBI policy meeting every 3-4 months always brings down share price by 5-10 % temporarily.

How to know well in Advance about this RBI policy meeting so that we can be ready with the cash few days before the dip starts to happen?

Re: Muhurat Trading Tips & Tricks

hi pride...

Whether it is for tomorrows muhurat trading or any muhurat trading at a future date.....

It is everybody's endeavour to make money on this auspicious date..but most only come away having bought something and there is every chance that it will close below their entry price...only thing to console themselves...is that they bought a good quality scrip & that it is bound to rise later.

Smaller good quality scrips of >rs.100 are hot buys & usually show a good percentage jump moment the trading starts.
But others around 150-200 are equally hot.

Now coming to strategy for both futures trader, short term traders & investors.

go short at the jump....then cover when it comes down & then wait for last 5 -10 minutes to buy whatever one wants to take home...because of the occasion.

above applies to nf, bnf & most of the stocks & stock futures.
But since i have never traded options on a muhurat trading...cant say anything about the particular segment.

happy diwali & new year to you, traderji & all friends here at tj

Re: Muhurat Trading Tips & Tricks

You couldn't find any thread to ask about MICR....

MICR is a 9 digit numeric code printed on the cheque and is printed after the cheque number

first 3 didgit signifies the city where the bank is situated
next 3 digit signifies the Bank Code... (Which Bank)
last 3 digit is the branch code....

Next time post your query in a relevant thread
