Can a demat account be opened in the name of trust
best place to search answer for these kind of questions is google. For your Q answer is

If the trust is registered under the Public Trust act 1860 / Societies Registration act / Bombay Public Trust act / public trust act in force in the state, then a demat account can be opened in the name of a trust. If the trust is a private or unregistered trust then a demat account shall be opened in the name of trusties as an individual account. If the trust has more than three trusties, then they will have to decide in whose name the demat account will be opened.

Re: Stocks To Keep A Close Eye On - Chapter II

BSE's SENSEX consists of 30 stocks.NSE's nifty consists of 50 stocks.
SO lot of volatility is seen in former, whereas later is seen a bit quiter
comparatively.

Satyam is tempting buy for me too, but still undecided.
analysts were saying that m&m is a better buy than satyam..
I would rather enter satyam if it enters a rally..
IMO satyam is a good buy only if it crosses 100 mark. Dear friend dont yield to your temptations. Auto sector and some mid cap banking stocks is a better substitute in the present scenario than Satyam..

You are very kind, SavantGarde. Thanks for the tip about banking sector. I'll keep that in mind. I off-loaded IDEA @69 today. Freed the money. Recovered about half the loss during day-trading (i.e. not much profit today). THOMASCOOK I am holding for a while as you suggested. Same goes for HINDOILEXP.
By the way, I liked your views on DLF and Mutual Funds. I have the same sort of aversion - particularly on Mutual Funds. They have a simple policy: earn in abundance and give pittance to the contributors. If things go wrong, pass the loss. My uncle (a veteran trader) summed it best: if I have to burn my money, I don't need a bugger with suit and tie to offer me the light.
Thanks again for your time.

Hi Goofy,

HINDOILEXP - Just keep on hold.... once the upmove starts you can see almost +40 buck move in a day.... fundamentally very sound...

THOMASCOOK - Not a bad scrip as such just that upmoves are sporadic and fewer than the down moves.... and volumes are 'earth shattering' 2.50-3.0 lacs....

Happy & Safer Trading

SavantGarde, I just read your story about the Shepherd and the Consultant (13th September 2010, page:1163). Hilarious!
Reminded me of the most annoying people I worked with about a decade ago in England. Watching those gadget-infatuated dundderheads, sometimes I felt they might need GPS to locate the coffee machine that stood just next to them. No wonder I live in a village now, among the shepherds and the farmers. I just want to be sane and human.
Thank you
