Dear Friends,
I have small utility in Excel sheet.
(1) NSE_BHAV
(2) NSE_PR_DAILY

NSE_BHAV: It will convert directly cm01NOV2010bhav.csv.zip into a *.txt file retaining columns Ticker, Date, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume for all equities.

NSE_PR_Daily: First download PR.zip from nseindia.com unrar it.find file Pd011110.csv , NSE_PR_DAILY will convert it into *.txt file having columns Ticker, Date, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume for Indexes and all Equities.

Just use it then import it into Ami , while importing thru Import Wizard, in Import Wizard set Column 2 as "YMD" ( i.e. year month date) and rest you all know very well.
If any probs then let me know.

Regards
Aaplana
if i feed this data to meta by metastock downloader for conversion?

Hi Savant,

That is not the reason. The file format should not matter as long as you use the correct format file. I have even used the Wizard to import data. Another option I tried is by converting the csv file to match the GetBhavcopy format. Both did not work. And again, if the problem is with database itself then how is that the charts and indicators drawn on them are working correctly for all the data but only the AFLs are not working? I am not changing the database in between and in fact I have only one database for EOD. So, data file incompatibility is not the problem. It is something else. I am now trying to use another installation of AmiBroker and see whether it works.

The problem is solved. It was a corrupt file in AmiBroker directory (I don't know which one). Checked with amibroker installed in another computer. No problems. So, re-installed AmiBroker in my PC and everything is fine. I can now read EOD data from any source in any format.

Hello aditya,

Can you kinldy tell as to how to download all the bhavcopy files from NSE at once using Download them all addon?

Thank you for providing information
First of all open DownThemAll Manager

Then, Click on Add URL(s).

Then paste this in the URL field to download all the bhavcopies for November 2010:

Code:
http://nseindia.com/content/historical/EQUITIES/2010/NOV/cm[01:31]NOV2010bhav.csv.zip

Similarly for any other month replace Nov by the first three letters of the month (jan, feb, mar,.....) and the respective year by 2010.
