Veluri,

1 Cycle = Would consist of 1 downside followed by 1 upside

If the downside is persistent over a prolonged period of time defying the earlier Time Frame when the upmove should have started is a Bear Market

hello savant ji the scrip in which i am trapped is alphageo , what is the chartreading , pls explain

Dear SG,

"Substantial" was the term used before I noticed the m/billionaires on the board here. Never again.

I had around 9000 at an avg of around 45, out of which I booked 3000 on Diwali night at around 69 and hold another 6000. I hold another 3 lots of Nov Futures at 63.

This is one of my few trades where I am making "some" money :( so I am risk averse and would prefer to keep my SL to 62, 56.85 on my futures would wipe my profits.

With this background, what would you suggest?

Hi SK,

Look to getting your invested capital back through staggered selling...

SL of 62 can get hit quite easily on a bad hair day..... ideal SL should be 56.85

Still don't know your entry price or the 'substantial' quantity you hold and not so 'substantial' quantity that you have booked

Hi SK,

On Futures position forget about what target you may have... just book whatever profit you see... latest by Friday.... Infact if you were a little more adventurous.. I would have suggested Hold your equity of DISHTV & short the future for the expiry week.

We will be in an expiry week from 22nd onwards & DISHTV will come under pressure because of the expiry phenomenon.....it has had a good run for sometime.

Thanks SG.

What I understood is......

Basically cycles moves in 1-2-3.....format. 1 is Base 2 is peak 3 is base.

Also the time periods between 1 cycle (forming 1-2-3) and other should be more or less same.

Can we safely assume...... if step 3 is taking much time longer than usual to form base even if it is above Base 1.....that it entered a bear phase? Or only on breach of Base 1..... it is safer to presume a bear phase has started?

Hi Amit....

Dear Mr SavantGarde,

Thanks. I am looking forward to your reply. I really don't want to make the mistake of putting my money into the wrong stocks since the stakes are too high. If you could point me in the right direction, that would be great. Thank you.

Amit.
