This comment from a "ewanowen" in the article is just brilliant.

"It is a slow day in a damp little Irish town. The rain is beating down and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit. On this particular day a rich German tourist is driving through the town, stops at the local hotel and lays a 100 note on the desk, telling the hotel owner he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night. The owner gives him some keys and, as soon as the visitor has walked upstairs, the hotelier grabs the 100 note and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher. The butcher takes the 100 note and runs down the street to repay his debt to the pig farmer. The pig farmer takes the 100 note and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel. The guy at the Farmers' Co-op takes the 100 note and runs to pay his drinks bill at the pub. The publican slips the money along to the local prostitute drinking at the bar, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer him "services" on credit. The hooker then rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill to the hotel owner with the 100 note. The hotel proprietor then places the 100 note back on the counter so the rich traveller will not suspect anything. At that moment the traveller comes down the stairs, picks up the 100 note, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and leaves town. No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now out of debt and looking to the future with a lot more optimism. And that, Gentlemen, is how the bailout package works."

Absolutely amazing...

A bad day again. No trades till 2 pm. SBI looked juicy and entered with 1 lot, averaged it twice to anyhow exit the long by 3:30 pm, but got trapped and now carrying 3 lots. Also, added CEs of SBI 3000 and 3050.

Savant Sir,

Again badly needing to seek your views for SBI till Friday. Ledger is in deep red with c/f positions of SBI. Any chances of bounce back ?? Else, I will square off and try to catch it again when things be stable. What to do, please suggest !

Dear Mr SG,

You said earlier that since 2 hanging men had sacrificed their life, Nifty will go up. Now, that 3 hanging men have passed away, can we expect Nifty to show some bullishness tomorrow?

Thanks.

Amit.

Yeah, same mistake again and again. Wondering when my trading will improve ??
Averaged the trades just to manage for exit by 3:30, but it proved worse. Savant Sir was not available by that time, I think, so couldn't seek his advice.

Anyways, one more lesson to me.

I have been impressed by Swing Trading strategy adopted by Gangadharan on this forum.

He uses his technical indicators to get into swing trades. As insurance, he buys OTM options in the opposing direction. There have been so many instances where his futures trade went wrong, but the losses were covered by his reverse options trade.

For example, a few days ago, he went long in Tata Steel Futures @620. As insurance, he bought Tata Steel Put options Strike Price 620. His trade went bad, and Tata Steel declined to 606 levels. As soon as Tata Steel broke its support of 614, he exited his futures, and made money in Put options.

I am really impressed by this hedging strategy.
