Mr SG - Why is tht stocks whose prices are high like 1000 or so have spread that is wide while smaller ones have narrow spread (say a 50 rs stk) ?

Also, why do high price stocks like RIL, SBI move more than lower priced ones?

Me so confused

Best,

Are you really confused? C'mon...

Instead of looking at the points increase, compare percentage increase, and you will know why SBI and RIL move in double digits...

@ gauhar,....I think gangadharan dont trade in futs..its equities and hedging in opts...
His swing trades are mostly in futures. But he likes to hold equities for positional trades (many months at a time).

Asked bcoz I was tearing my hair apart (Whatever is left of it) when saw the SBI stock drop more than 50 pts while RIL didnt even move 20 pts then. It is almost supernatural seeing such drop like Rajni catching bullets and throwing them back

And some stocks didn't move much at all! Crazy world.

Sg sir

i have one query... It is sometimes easy to judge what big players are doing in market by observing BID,ASK,LTP prices and quantity ( though i feel LTP quantity is useless becoz of disclosed quantity option available) ie we can judge if huge amount of quantities are being swallowed quickly. But what is really difficult to judge is whether this move is actual or this is deception to trap small trader... this judement i feel comes with experience and a well informed and sharp mind... Hw to develop it??

I feel there are lots intricate things involved with PA trading which cant be quantified and written...

I have this picture of PA trading in my mind

Scene: SG sir trading

10:00 am - watching Bid/ask/ltp etc.
10:20 am - mind triggers a trade.. trade taken
10:40 am - mind triggers exit.. Profit booked
11:00 am - Some one asks " hw did u do it??"
Sg sir - "Hmmm!!! i wonder..." :D

Am i correct ?? :)

Thanks

Vaibhav

Gangadharan bro has a very simple strategy.

Here are some of his trades I witnessed.

16 Nov 2010

18 Nov 2010

Next day, his trades went bad. Put options saved the day...

Gangadharan bro had outlined his trading strategy and technical indicators he uses in an excel file. From that file, here is an interesting investing psycology.

MY RULE FOR INVESTMENTS
Many thanks, Brother gauharjk.
So nice of you.

- Anil:)
