Call Auction is a very heavy penalty trade . Bad luck can happen in stock markets . ST bhai has shared his experience of Call Auction penalty somewhere in Traderji. Sorry I forgot the thread otherwise I would have given you the link.
When ST bhai returns to forum you may ask him.
I haven't done this type of trade bfore like btst or T+2 selling.
But even if one sells on T+2 days does the shares are credited on T+2 morning in dmat (i guess not ).That means one should wait till T+3 days to sell the shares ,when it confirms that they are in the dmat account ??
kindly elaborate

I also do not trade in Equities on a Delivery basis so not knowing much about the exact rules.

Some funny quotes happening... Reliance 860CE @Rs.1667 ?

Ok, it corrects with a double click on the scrip, but still.. it's disturbing.
Hello timepass,
It's strange why price related issues come often on your pc.

1. How many scrips/contracts do you have in your marketwatch?
2. Hope you are using an Internet security solution (antivirus, firewall etc). Right?
3. Have you ever tried formatting your pc and reinstalling a fresh Windows?

Moreover, we'd also request other members of the community to let us know if you face similar issues so that if it is a NOW specific issue it can be taken up with NOW.

1. At that time I had 10-11 scrips in that particular marketwatch.
2. I have all the internet/virus protection.
3. My PC is my bread and butter. I won't be formatting it unless the computer crashes. But I keep the registry clean and do the requisite software maintenance regularly.

As I mentioned in my post, the problem goes away with a double click. I don't know how many users are using 2 snap quote windows. The problem almost always occurs in the smaller window.

What u r saying is if i buy today i can sell tomorrow. The shares will be deliverd in dmat on day after tomorrow but i can sell it .I was told that i cannot.
The risk of auction only arise if the exchange does not deliver required amount of shares on T+2 days but that is highly unlikely in liquid scrips or nifty stocks.
Am i right??
Have u gone through any such incident where the client( preferably a small investor or trader) is given short delivery by exchange and he has to face the auction in nifty stocks or liquid scrips???
Hello Trade2Learn,
Yes these kind of incidences do happen even with liquid stocks.

This is different from call auction recently in news.

Since there seems to be some confusion about auction mechanism we'll write a piece on that in our knowledge base so that everyone can benefit from that.

Ok. For the purpose of troubleshooting would it be possible for you to try the "Snap Quote" (the bigger window) for some time instead of market depth window?
