Trade Smart Online

I asked the same question on online chat on ur website few days back .They told me that we cannot sell the shares on T+1 day:confused:
Do u allow it ?
No they are not allowing T+1 its effectively T+2 only because first they take delivery in demat and then sell after 2 days even if you give sell order after first day.
So effectively there is no T+1 only T+2 in which case demat charge is applicable.

@tradesmart
There has been lot of request from members to update your backoffice.
Though it does the job but it looks like those windows 98 days.
If I have to suggest, then pls contact Comtek Software Systems, they provide backoffice solutions.
Hope you can update the same as early as possible.

Hello Trade2Learn,
Looks like there might be a confusion here.

You can sell shares on T+1. However, there could be a risk of the shares you bought coming short from the exchange. In this case there could be a risk of auction at your end as you will not be able to deliver the shares you sold to the exchange.

Hello neoman,
Thanks for the feedback.

Changing the back office software in broking is like changing your ERP. Since many of the practices are broker specific the vendors do not have a fixed set of settings. To configure an entirely new software is a herculean task.

So we had spoken to our existing vendor. We've been informed by them that they have plans to come our with a new layout. So waiting for that.

Like we mentioned in our earlier post, you can. However, there could still be a risk of auction.
What u r saying is if i buy today i can sell tomorrow. The shares will be deliverd in dmat on day after tomorrow but i can sell it .I was told that i cannot.
The risk of auction only arise if the exchange does not deliver required amount of shares on T+2 days but that is highly unlikely in liquid scrips or nifty stocks.
Am i right??
Have u gone through any such incident where the client( preferably a small investor or trader) is given short delivery by exchange and he has to face the auction in nifty stocks or liquid scrips???

Call Auction is a very heavy penalty trade . Bad luck can happen in stock markets . ST bhai has shared his experience of Call Auction penalty somewhere in Traderji. Sorry I forgot the thread otherwise I would have given you the link.
When ST bhai returns to forum you may ask him.
