Hello lvgandhi,
The margin file we keep on the dropbox is for an indicative purpose only. Since the exchange changes it's margins 5 times a day the margin required can change even after we upload the file on dropbox.
I don't think intraday changes are 30%. But what ever should be at start should be placed before market starts.

Hello all,
Some people have been experiencing issues with logging in to NOW before 9 am. This could be because of the version issue. Please upgrade to the new version 1.12.1 to resolve the same.

For about 3 weeks many of our clients have been using this new version and no major issues have been noticed.

Please let us know in case you have any questions/comments.

Hello all,
We've posted on our blog an interesting financial puzzle and would like to share it with you all.

We'd also like to state that about 70-80% people we've asked this puzzle have got it wrong. Please try not to use Excel. Calculator is fine :)

@ TSO ,

As you are among the Biggest brokers of India , I would request you to put a representation to NSE on behalf of small retail traders to start the MINIFTY Contract again.

Minifty was such a favourite of new traders as well as retail traders who were applying their methodology of Money Management for profitability . With the exclusion of MINIFTY Contract , such traders have been deprived of good trading opportunity.

If big brokers like you will put this demand then NSE will surely take note of it. I have sent numerous e-mails to NSE officials but there are no replies or even acknowledgement of the e-mails.

I hope you will take note of it.

Thanks & Regards.

Stupid nse and sebi has removed the minifty contract .

options were highly priced and with the absence of minifty, retail people were forced to trade in highly volatile nifty futures.

Soon they will wipe out their capital and run away .

This is sebi and nse wants?

This is the way they work for the welfare of retail people?

Hello traderite,
Thanks for your message.
The decision to stop trading in Mini nifty was taken by SEBI and a circular was issued for the same. Derivatives are risky instruments that have a leverage built into them and should be used carefully.

To limit the use of derivatives by people who are not as aware of it, they have put a limit on the minimum value for an fno contract to be traded on the exchange. Hence the trading in mini nifty was stopped.

However, if you are a retail trader and are interested in taking smaller bets, have you considered using options for your trades?
