Hello VNS,

Upgraded to NOW ver 1.12 over the weekend. These were some observations from yesterday (forgot to post yesterday).

1) During startup, it gave a virus warning.

2) The "Snap Quote" window still does not show name of the scrip.

3) Most importantly, there is a problem placing SL orders. Suppose it's a buy stop order, the order is placed ok for a price higher than the CMP, but if you want to place a buy stop order below the CMP, it gets entered as a limit order.

Similarly for a sell stop order, it is placed ok if the trigger is below the CMP, but placed as a limit if the trigger is above the CMP.

Long time. Hope all is well at your end.
1. We are not aware of anyone else receiving the virus warning. Not sure why you received it. It might be a good idea to run a complete scan for your system. There does not seem to be any issue with the NOW setup file.

2. As mentioned in our earlier post, snap quote issue has been there for FNO from day 1 and continues to exist. But since we can see the contract details below that, we did not pursue it further with NOW.

3. Regarding the SL orders, please let us know what trigger price and limit price you chose for the buy order.

For the order seen as "open", I had put in 7.00 & 7.25, while the LTP was 8.85. For the SL order (seen as "trigger pending") the price was 12 & 12.15

1) Do you allow deep ITM option writing? For example selling nifty 5000 calls at 800 as of now
2) With the premium (800*50=40000) do you allow to write more options?

One of the clients with another broker did the same, but the broker cut some of hs position midway after allowing him initially to have a position, so wanted to ask you your stand on this issue

This is not an issue with the new version of NOW. This is how exchange treats SL orders.

Try placing such an order again and notice the acknowledgement that comes in the order confirmation window at the bottom. You'll observe that the order first goes as a SL order and because the trigger price for the buy order is below the current price the trigger is hit immediately. This will cause the order to become active as a limit order and a limit order confirmation message comes for the same.

Try it from another trading software and it'll behave the same way.

Vice versa for put option too.

1. We do allow deep ITM option writing. However, we do not provide additional leverage for the same.
2. If the contract is illiquid or does not have enough volume, we do not allow trading in the same.

For a business two things are the most important
a. To provide value
b. To manage risks

Managing risks are as important as providing value. If another broker squared off the deep ITM positions there must be a good reason for the same.

From 30th Sep, for last three days data table for watchlist scrips like NIFTY13OCTFUT, BANKNIFTY13OCTFUT shows data only upto 15:28. Data for 15:29 is missing. Please look into this.

Hello Niranjanam,
Please refer to our knowledgebase where we have mentioned the reason and resolution for the same.

It happens because of the terminal staying idle for more than 30 mins. Can be resolved by locking the terminal by pressing ctrl+w
