I have been observing since the past 2-3 months that the technicals, which work fine otherwise, are not working properly near the expiry. Like one make a system, back test it; find it good and reasonably working. The system continues to work good, but near the expiry period like yesterday and today, the same technicals and system are showing confusion and many times wrong conclusions. and when the expiry period is over i.e. from the first Monday after the expiry, the system again starts working good. It has been happening with me since the last three months. Is there any specific reason or am I hallucinating.

Near expiry the market becomes weak because of converging of the futures price with the spot. I think if you are holding far month contract no need to panic,do not close them now. The trend will resume in a couple of days once the rollovers happen.

Ashok Leyland has been bought at 73.5 with a SL of 72 on EOD basis.

Risk to reward is totally in favor.

Whenever a stock is selected at my end, the entry price, exit price and SL is given based on underlying equities. I don't look at futures. Hence, please look at underlying equity prices while exiting.
