Do not worry about the fact that you pay for learning. I give you my word, that each one of the posters and readers in this whole forum pays in a certain way for learning to trade. Some choose smarter ways and the other ones will learn it the hard way. There is no : Ha ha, but not me. Every one pays earlier or later
So, do not let get you confused or feel disturbed about your choice.
Some thoughts on that : As the forum is huge, there is very good post around. Choosing one or two home threads and following them, will improve all of our trading knowledge, as we bring in a lot of incredible thoughts and knowledge. We then get answers in a direct or indirect way. I have never *met any successful forum member, where ever they are, which are successful in trading and never posted in there home forums.
My choice even than : I prefer to have very private and personal relation ship with different pros, even I had to pay the first time to get in touch with them. Some of them offer very long time frames, when it comes to trading education and follow up questions. As it is a long time business relation ship ( some times over years ), it reaches a very private level. This very special kind of close business relation ship is in my opinion not makable in such a way in a forum. We are still human beings and a very direct personal talk under for eyes or two ears with other ones, can give in a very short and direct way also incredible thoughts and results. We are all different. I am a person which learns quick in such talks and on the other hand, I also learn by writing down thoughts or personal experiences and of course by reading, reading and trading and trading. My profile and you should know your profile.
If the pro is a real pro and you are having very specific queries, which not can be or will be open discussed in any forum for what ever reason, you then have a scout, witch shows you the shortest way through the information jungle to the river.
Oilman, I wish you an incredible workshop with long relation ships to top pros.

I don't Think you are going to learn anything new from that Sharekhan Head office stuff..
I have attended their 2 hour workshop.. it is entirely free and they are intended to make you their customer... for a further course.... As I am trading with sharekhan I thought it was free only for sharekhan customers.
What they are going to tell you in this 2 hours is nothing in front of this thread at least. And there is no big thing in booking a seat for this course.. just visit their website and fill the particulars and you can print out the ticket. Or you can just call them and attend with out a ticket also.
And for your information....... This is a new business strategy from sharekhan to make you their high volume customer..... I am not talking agianst Sharekhan..... It is a reputed firm.. and I am trading with them with an yearly Rs. 100000/- AMC.... scheme. where you get the cheapest brokerage. This is the same scheme they are introducing showing you an additional facility of such a course. And you may feel 15 to 20 crores are big amounts when you hear it .......... But when you start serious trading this may fetch with in 3 months..
One thing I liked in your post is your decision to learn and then trade. Personally with my experience I also lost about 2 Lakhs in the first year of my trading. This is then I decided not to loose..... and I changed my attitude. Hence for last two years I am earning from this market. Raunak Sir is very correct...... It is your winning attitude that make you a great trader.
But I don't know anything about the BSE stuff.. please explain your experience after you attend it.

My intention was not to discourage or puzzle him..... I shared him the facts I know.... And he also said he is going to attend a workshop by BSE. that might be a better one for him because it is organized with a different intention than of sharekhan.
But still My friend Dan.... This oilman is here in Traderji for last 4 years... Do you think he is that oily not to learn anything from here for last long years......... I cant believe it sir......
Any way I believe this world is full of wonderful things......It is one's choice to choose what he wants.

Learning is easy ,as u understood..........if i am not in touch ,my weekly loss is more than that.Moreover i have those material already with me,...........only i shall take it indian context , and Mr Ganga...... rightly said , i shall have to change brokerage house & its around 2yr trade deal through them.I decided to take...........since i tell someone, if myself not following..........is BAD, morever pro learning is always good. As i am seriously planning to become a PRO.
I am a different kind of trader u know,.............i dont play in arbitrage, nor correlation play, nor also........buy one/sell X.
More i enjoy style/view of Raunak.
Savant, our moderator.........plays differently.......with high accuracy and depth in market.
I read tnsn2345.......his view is amazing,........but i try to follow traderji.
Now good traders have told me.........throw fundamental, still i spend money to learn fundamental , knowing extremely well.......fundamental is not my cup of tea,...........being slow learner, still i read CFA/FRM books to know more.
Since an ex in chess , complex....thought process attracts me...........enjoy intellectual pleasure out of it.So far TA is concerned......u know it ,......Yes u rightly said its mentor...........i reqd NOW.

some thing i shall clarify............the course reqd a pay .
I am not yet a/c holder..........infact suddenly .........discussion comes because of many good traders teach here freely.........so the expense is unnecessary........ur this view i think is right.
I spent some money...........every yr.........out of profit.........to keep me fit.
No i learnt very little from traderji-site,........i came here to give, i take knowledge/money from different source. In my past , i refused to take tips from fund managers.Some so called market specialists , including Traderji himself is known to me.
I have my trading blockage,......and ask suggestion to tnsn2345.......only style wise i followed VVonteru..........., i read CV .
Traderji himself a mind boggling great trader............with total objectivity.

I consider trading............a fighting arena,..........in my past consistently i am in touch with market............to run my family a decade due to luck.My philosophy on market....in toughest way...........reflected "if i have to ask/read from newspaper/listen to TV..........better be out from MARKET"

i work well with omnitrader.

btw, i am in touch since 1991............many a share vanished completely, booked single big loss of 5lakh in trade,.........
since 2001 i am trading..........and survived till date.
