The charting platform, as it stands know, is not even 30% of what I expected from you guys. And if this is the final thing, then I must say I am disappointed. Since last 8 years am using Trade Tiger and compared to TT this Upstox seems to be of pre-historic age.
This debate can be really fruitful for us traders and ultimately for the broker, if the broker not just listen but also reply.
Replying after two days doesn't count, as the ideas remain alive only till debate is in heat
I agree with @deba that this is less then 30% what we have expected.
The lack of comments here about uptox gives a hint.
What ever @RKSV says, they try to take a short cut here and decided to go for a web terminal instead of a desktop client.
They must have thought that development of web front end should be easier and cheaper.
But sooner or later they are going to hit a wall, where even if they want to test and implement key features they won't be able to do it because of the web/HTML5 limitations. So competing with a desktop client like TT is a distant dream.
Son don't be "Penny wise Pound foolish" will be written all over that wall.
Somewhere in this thread, I saw that @RKSV said "we re writing indicator's from scratch"
I struggle to understand why they want to 'reinvent the wheel'
Doesn't all 'this bells and whistles' is mere front end?
Not negating importance of the front end of any software, let alone upstox. Just calling spade a spade.
We all know that these frontends are predeveloped packages just need to be customized as per user/broker needs.
For example TSO's "spin" and Zerodha "pi" are just clones, predeveloped package from modulus and forntend customized by tradelab.
rksv's "uptox" and zerodha's "kite" are same. Color of terminal doesn't count.
Point is, you can't beat TradeTiger because that's not just a repackaged frontend.
No offence meant.
But you can surely beat Kite, pi and spin. For that you need to keep the interest alive of your customers, in return they will give you the feedback to make it a topnotch frontend.
A broken beta is fine, but not the dead beta.
In stock market, nobody want to see a candle which doesn't move.
Who know this better then a broker.
Best wishes
